Further from the 6 Star EX elements of your Sync pairs, where you get a special boost to the Sync Move, as of August 2023, Pokémon start to get more EX Roles

These are obtained by giving the Sync Pairs special Roll Cakes that match their EX Role and basically give their EX Boosted Sync Move the additional role of the new type, so your Sync pair's EX Move could be boosted as a Strike move normally, hitting all opponents, and then also get the Tech Role which boosts Power by 1.5.

In addition to that, unlocking your EX Role will also add a boost to the Sync Pair's stats
