Curry Dex
Creating Curry |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
When you're in your Pokémon Camp, you have the option of cooking a curry. This allows for you to put in 1 main ingredient and up to 10 different berries in order to create the curry. Doing so will create a Curry and give you various benefits based on how well you made it. To make the curry, you first need to select your main ingredient if you want one, and then your berries to add to the taste. The taste focuses on the Berry's attributes so putting a Sour Berry in will make a Sour curry. However, as many of the rarer berries contain multiple tastes, you will need to offset it if you want a specific flavour of curry. For a full list of ingredient values, check here When the items are selected, you have a mini-game to make the curry and your success here determines the Taste Rating of the curry. First you need to fan the flames by pressing A in a good frequent pattern or by shaking the JoyCon. Then, you need to stir the curry by rotating the right stick or moving the JoyCon in a circular motion. Finally, you have to put your heart into it and press A right when the circle is in the small green area so that you get the best results. Do note that Bob's Food Tin is exclusive to Pokémon Sword and Bach's Food Tin is exclusive to Pokémon Shield so you'll need to trade to complete the Curry Dex. |

Curry Rewards |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
When you're done and you have eaten the curry, it will receive a rating based upon how well you did and the ingredients you used. The rarer the berries, the better the rating. You will then get various boosts to your Pokémon all depending upon the rating, but also for some depending upon their nature. If their nature means they don't like Spicy, then they'll get less experience and happiness than if they liked it Pokémon will gain Sociability with each curry you make from a value of 0 to 255. Each grade of curry will add to the Pokémon's sociability value, but you need 2 or more Pokémon for it to gain

Curry Encounters |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
In the standard areas of Galar outside the Wild Area, Isle of Armor and Crown Tundra, when you make a curry there's a chance of a wild Pokémon coming to the camp. This wild Pokémon can then join you. To get a Pokémon to come, your Pokémon out in the camp need to have a high enough sociability depending on the amount of Pokémon you have out in camp.
If they do, the chances of spawns vary depending upon the grade of the curry you have just made. From there, a Pokémon will spawn. These pull from the standard encounter data in the area but have a different rarity. You can see each area in our Galar Location Database
These Pokémon can be shiny, but are a set 1 in 4096 chance, unaffected by the Shiny Charm. They will also all get the Curry Mark. |

Curry Dex |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
There are 151 different curry combinations to make, and when you register them into your Curry Dex, you can check to see your highest taste rating for that curry as well as the first time you created it and with what Pokémon as your lead. The size of the curry also differs depending on the Pokémon you have. Really large Pokémon such as Steelix will result in your curry being huge and really small Pokémon like Joltik will cause it to be small. There are three different sizes for each Curry to collect and all are saved within the Curry Dex.
If you complete the Curry Dex, go to the Camping Guru in Hammerlocke Hills and he will give you some golden cooking utensils and allow you to switch between them at will.
