Striaton City is the first city within Unova which has a gym. In addition to this, in Pokémon Black & White a researcher into Pokémon dreams, Fennel lives in Striaton City. In her house, you'll be able to learn about the Dream World. This city also houses the traditional Pokémon School where beginner trainers can learn various aspects about battling. In nights during the Summer in Black 2 & White 2, Striaton City gets hit by a swarm of Stunfisk.

Gym (BW Only)
The Striaton City gym is not the traditional gym which focuses on a single type. Instead, it focuses on the type which is strong against your starter Pokémon with the Gym Leader varying based upon this. The gym puzzle is a simple question and answer based on type compatibility.

Restaurant
In Black 2 & White 2, the gym has been converted into a restaurant where battles with the Gym Leaders can take places daily
