The Pokémon Company have put out an updated clarified note in the article that revealed a Poké Coin cost for transferring from Pokémon GO to Pokémon HOME.
Now, the article states that there will be a cooldown period after transferring Pokémon beforeyou can transfer again. This can be shortened with PokéCoins. Currently this doesn't preclude the idea of it costing but provides more insight from the same question that was asked yesterday. We'll provide full details on the transfer method when they come so be sure to keep checking back

As already announced, it runs on October 17th from 11am to 5pm local time and it features Charmander and you can teach Charizard Dragon Breath by evolving it during this event. There will also be paid Special Research, A Tale of Tails, that will give some special rewards including Charizard Mega Energy. There will also be Timed Research and Field Research tasks to get Charizard Mega Energy. There will be 3 * Catch Stardust during the event

Niantic have announced that some of the bonuses that have been in place since the pandemic began are to end on October 1st at 20:00 UTC. As of then, hatch distance will return to normal and Incense's increased effectiveness will only apply while walking. and Buddy Pokémon will only give you gifts once per day.
However the maximum gifts will remain at 20, you'll continue to receive 3* Stardust and XP on your first catch and Incense remains running for 60 minutes. Currently it's unknown if the other features such as standard damage for Remote Raids will remain

There's a new Ticket Scout which can be used to scout some Sync Pairs by using special tickets

This event is rolling out in various countries including Gamestop in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and Intertoys in the Netherlands and will run from Friday September 25th through October 25th. When you enter the code given at stores from this event, you'll get a special Dynamax Crystal which can be activated to create a Gigantamax Centiskorch Max Raid Battle in the Watchtower Ruins. Console pages - While previously we had pages on Special Edition Consoles, we now also have sections on each individual platform a Pokémon game is on, such as Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS. These list all games released on those devices, all revisions of the device and all special edition Pokémon Consoles

In this, Kirlia and Shinx in Top Hats will appear in raids, Croagunk with a backwards cap in the wild and Photobombs and Smoochum Wearing a Bow will be iun Eggs. Shiny Kricketot will be available in the event and some special Field Research will appear. Mareep, Skitty, Roselia, Kricketot, Croagunk wearing a backward cap, Blitzle, Cottonee, Minccino, Gothita will also spawn in the wild.

This competition, Players Cup II Qualifier/Global Challenge 2020 Autumn, is a Double Battle competition runs VGC Rules from last month allowing for all Galar Pokédex Pokémon, Isle of Armor Pokédex Pokémon and the Alola Starters, Cobalion, Terrakion & Virizion without allowing for certain Legendary & Mythicals. Download Rules are also now available for this competition. The top players will gain entry to the Players Cup II this November
Registration is open from now to September 24th 23:59 UTC. Battles will run from September 25th 00:00 UTC to September 27th 23:59 UTC.
Edit: Note that at the moment, Pokémon HOME and English language news state that this runs the current Series 6 ruleset while in-game and the Japanese news list it as Series 5. At present we're going with the in-game notice but we'll provide more details on clarifications if and when things change

The Pokémon Company International have put out details on the Players Cup II. As noted above, VGC players will qualify through the Onlin Competition above. Trading Card Game Players will be availableto enter through TCG Online from September 28th to October 26th with each player getting 50 Tournament Keys to use to enter and try and qualify. As before the Top 256 players from North America, Europe and Latin America and Top 128 from Oceania will go forward. The Regional Qualifiers then run in November and the finals will be played in December

Pokémon Korea have also announced two distributions when you go see the movie, Mewtwo Strikes Back EVOLUTION, when it releases there at the end of the month. When you go see it, you'll receive two Serial Codes. One to receive a Mewtwo in Let's Go, Pikachu! & Let's, Go, Eevee! and another to get a Charizard based on Ash's Charizard for Pokémon Sword & Shield. The Mewtwo matches the one distributed in Japan last year. The Charizard is Level 50 and comes with the moves Flamethrower, Dragon Tail, Slash and Seismic Toss, a move it can't normally learn in Sword & Shield. This season adds a new cup, the Halloween Cup from October 26th though November 2nd which only allows Poison-, Ghost-, Bug-, Dark-, and Fairy-type and gives rewards of Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle in Halloween Costumes. It has a limit of 1500 CP
Great League will run from September 14th through September 28th
Ultra League and its Premier Cup will run September 28th through October 12th
Master League and its Premier Cup will run from October 12th through October 26th
Halloween Cup will run October 26th through November 3rd
Great, Ultra and Master League will run from November 3rd through November 9th with Season 5 following
Season 4 features a change in that you can get through Ranks 3 through 9 solely based on wins, with only Rank 10 depending on a Ranking of 3,000
GO Battle Night will run with the Flying Cup on September 24th from 18:00 to 23:59 local time. It only allows Flying-type Pokémon with a CP Limit of 1500. If you evolve Pidgeotto into Pidgeot during the event, you'll get a Pidgeot that knows Gust.
In addition, Lunge will be added to the game for Masquerain and Galvauntula. It's a Bug-type Charge Move that lowers the opponent's Attack
Bug Buzz now has a chance of lowering opponent's Defense
Flame Charge deals less damage but raises user's Attack
Signal Beam now has a chance to lower the opponent's Attack and Defense and Vespiquen will learn it.
Season 5 will only last 3 weeks and won't feature Ratings, just have ranks based on number of wins.

The amount of Mega Energy you'll receive from Raid Battles has increased. It will now range from 50 to 90 rather than 35 to 55
The Mega Energy required to Mega Evolve a previously Mega Evolved Pokémon will be decreased. It is now 40 for the Kanto Starters and 20 for Beedrill
Niantic are also working on implementing the following feature:
The ability to earn Mega Energy when walking with your buddy
More ways to earn Mega Energy through Research & Gameplay
Earning bonus candy when catching Pokémon that have the same type as your Mega Evolved Pokémon

The Wild Area Event has now shifted in Pokémon Sword & Shield. With this, the Water and Ground-type Pokémon have left the boosted raids and with this, various Grass and Electric Pokémon have been added including Gigantamax Toxtricity, Gigantamax Flapple and Gigantamax Appletun. We're currently compiling all details of the event so be sure to keep checking back. This event runs until September 30th at 23:59 UTC

Ranked Battle Series 6 is now live. This ruleset contains the exclusion of 16 of the top used Pokémon that were used during the July season. Pokémon Sword & Shield - Ranked Battle Rewards
The eighth season of Pokémon Sword & Shield's Ranked Battle has come to an end and with it, the rewards for participation in battles is now live. To get them, you need to check your ranking in the Ranked Battle mode and then go to Mystery Gift > Receive via Battle Stadium. These rewards include BP and items range from Armorite Ore up to Bottle Caps depending upon your placement. We have full details of the rewards in our Ranked Battle section

The Mega Raid Challenge event has begun in Pokémon GO. From 08:00 local time today until September 7th at 22:00 local time, certain Pokémon will have increased amount of spawns. In addition to that, Mega Raid Battles will appear more frequently and if 2 million raids are completed, then Mega Pidgeot will be added to the game

Until September 7th at 05:59 UTC, you'll be able to put in a vote using the hashtag of the character with EX at the end in response to the official tweets.
