Pokémon Sword & Shield
The next online competition has been announced. This competition, Players Cup II Qualifier/Global Challenge 2020 Autumn, is a Double Battle competition runs VGC Rules from last month allowing for all Galar Pokédex Pokémon, Isle of Armor Pokédex Pokémon and the Alola Starters, Cobalion, Terrakion & Virizion without allowing for certain Legendary & Mythicals. Download Rules are also now available for this competition. The top players will gain entry to the Players Cup II this November
Registration is open from now to September 24th 23:59 UTC. Battles will run from September 25th 00:00 UTC to September 27th 23:59 UTC.
Edit: Note that at the moment, Pokémon HOME and English language news state that this runs the current Series 6 ruleset while in-game and the Japanese news list it as Series 5. At present we're going with the in-game notice but we'll provide more details on clarifications if and when things change

Pokémon GO
The Mega Battle Challenge event in Pokémon GO is now starting to roll out in Asia Pacific Regions. This event runs until September 17th at 22:00 local time and features various spawns, the addition of Shiny Ledyba & Ledian in the game. There is also a boost to Mega Beedrill in battles and the incentive of, if players play in 27 million battles during the event, Mega Houndoom will start appearing in the game

The Raid Bosses have changed in Pokémon GO. From now until 20:00 UTC on September 17th, Cresselia is the 5 Star Raid Boss and with it, other Raid Bosses are to come. We're currently collating all details so be sure to keep checking back

Pokémon Masters EX
The Family Ties Story Event has begun in Pokémon Masters EX. This event has you follow the story of Lusamine, Lillie and Gladion as they arrive on the island of Pasio. This event runs for two weeks. Full details of the event are being added to our event page
In addition to that, a special Sync Pair Spotlight Scout is now live which adds the Sync Pair of Lusamine & Pheromosa to the game

Players Cup
The Pokémon Company International have put out details on the Players Cup II. As noted above, VGC players will qualify through the Onlin Competition above. Trading Card Game Players will be availableto enter through TCG Online from September 28th to October 26th with each player getting 50 Tournament Keys to use to enter and try and qualify. As before the Top 256 players from North America, Europe and Latin America and Top 128 from Oceania will go forward. The Regional Qualifiers then run in November and the finals will be played in December

Taiko No Tatsujin Drum 'n' Fun
The first Opening Theme to the current Japanese Pokémon anime is to be released as DLC on Taiko No Tatsujin Drum 'n' Fun is now available in Europe for Ł0.79/€0.99. This song, 1·2·3 by After the Rain. Its difficulty is 2☆, 4☆, 5☆ and 7☆ on each respective difficulty. There's currently no details on international release but will be expected a few weeks after
