Stockpile
Stockpile is a rather unique attack. It allows for the user to store "power". Each turn it is used, for up to 3 turns, the power increases (however, after the third turn it fails). It also, due to the nature of having to utilise multiple turns in order to properly use the power of the attacks, boosts your Pokémon's Defense & Special Defense stats up one level As such, you can utilise the power stockpiled in one of two ways depending on the attack utilised by the same Pokémon. However, unlike some moves, the effect of Stockpile only works with two other attacks; Spit Up & Swallow. The uses of these attacks are as follows, however all Stockpile effects do go after you utilise the following attacks Spit Up Spit Up is the Stockpile using attack that actually does damage to the opponents. It is a Normal-type Special attack that has 10PP and 100% accuracy. On first glance, apart from having to Stockpile, Spit Up is nothing special, but if you factor in a full stockpiled Spit Up, it is arguably one of the most powerful attacks in the game. It has four tiers of damage; 3 are stockpiled, 1 isn't. Unfortunately the one that isn't is that the attack doesn't do anything if you haven't stockpiled so you have to make sure to Stockpile first. Swallow Spit Up is the Stockpile using attack that allows for you to recover Hit Poits. It also is a Normal attack with 10PP and 100% accuracy. However, unlike the other recovery moves in the game, it does have its catches due to the stockpiling. It also has four tiers of damage; 3 are stockpiled, 1 isn't. Unfortunately the one that isn't is that the attack doesn't do anything if you haven't stockpiled so you have to make sure to Stockpile first. |
