Battle Competition
Within the Global Link, there is the special Battle Competition option. From time to time, various special competitions will run which have you use your Pokémon in battle against others. This runs akin to the Random Matchup mode and has you gain points based upon your defeat of other trainers, or lose points if you are defeated. They tend to last four days and are selectable in the Battle Competition part of the main menu, using Pokémon you need to register in your Battle Box.
A new feature added to this, is the inclusion of penalties for disconnecting. If you disconnect now from battle, you will have a loss recorded.
