Level/Time/Ability Based
A new form of Lycanroc was made available in Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, and this one comes with its own unique evolution method. To evolve it, it needs to evolve from a Rockruff with Own Tempo and level at a certain time.

Location Based
There are more location based evolutions in Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon. First, a location of several evolutions has shifted to an earlier part of the game. In addition to this, it is now possible to get Kanto forms of certain Pokémon that were impossible. If you activate their evolution methods while in Ultra Space, you will get the Kanto forms.
