Gift Pokémon
Like past Pokémon games, there are numerous Pokémon that you don't get by capturing, but rather by a person kindly giving you the Pokémon. This is often the easiest way to get most of these Pokémon and in some cases, the only way.

Location: Cabo Poco At the start of the game, you will meet Director Clavell who introduces you to the three starter Pokémon; Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly. He will get them to follow you for a while. When you go visit your neighbour, Nemona, she will ask if they're yours. Clavell will then give you the choice between the three Starter Pokémon, and Nemona will take the one weak to yours.

Location: Poco Path At the start of the game, you will start befriending Koraidon & Miraidon, depending on your version, it will eventually become the Pokémon you ride with. Upon learning it had past in Area Zero and is reluctant to return due to being defeated by another stronger member of its species, you eventually managed to get it out to battle against the Legendary Pokémon. From here, you have the ability to change Koraidon/Miraidon between their mounted forms and their Battle Form

Location: Naranja Academy, Uva Academy As one of the classes, you can learn languages from the teacher Salvatore. As you progress through the gyms, more classes will become available and, with every 2 classes passed, you can talk to Salvatore to help him on a mission to help a Pawmi that appeared in the Academy. After completing all classes, you can convince Salvatore to keep the Pawmi. As a thanks, he will give you a Galarian Meowth
