Niantic have announced the next Pokémon GO event. This event is the Pokémon Air Adventures Global Event event and is due to run from May 3rd at 10:00 to May 8th at 20:00 local time and introduces Mega Latios & Mega Latias into the game into the game
Mega Latios & Mega Latias will be in Mega Raids. Latias can have the new move Mist Ball and Latios will have the new move Luster Purge
Flying Pikachu, Charizard, Jigglypuff, Meowth, Psyduck, Doduo, Magikarp, Mantine, Wingull, Swablu & Drifloon will spawn int he wild
There will be Timed Research focused on Pikachu and Flying-type Pokémon which gives 50 Latias Mega Energy, 50 Latios Mega Energy, 3000 XP and an encounter with Flying Pikachu
Togepi, Mantyke, Emolga & Noibat will be in 7km Eggs
Flying Pikachu, Doduo, Swablu and Emolga will be in Field Research
Charizard, Lapras & Togekiss will be in 3 Star Raids
You will have 50% Egg Distance requirements when you put an Egg in an incubator during this event

First, the Research Breakthrough Reward has been announced. From May 1st 2022 at 20:00 UTC to June 1st 2022 at 20:00 UTC you'll get an Alolan Grimer
Tapu Fini will join Raid Battles from May 10th through May 25th
Tapu Koko, Tapu Lele, Tapu Bulu and Tapu Fini will be in 5 Star raids from May 25th through June 1st.
Mega Blastoise will be in Mega Raids from May 10th through May 25th. Mega Altaria will appear from May 25th through June 1st
The events through May have also been announced
The Water Festival will run from May 12th through May 20th featuring a surge of Water-type Pokémon
The Alola to Alola event runs from May 25th through May 31st and celebraes Pokémon found in Alola
A special widget will be available in early May showing your status of your Buddy Pokémon on your home screen

Niantic have announced the next Pokémon GO event. This event is the Mega Moment event and is due to run from April 29th at 10:00 to May 1st at 20:00 local time and introduces Mega Kangaskhan into the game
The new Mega Evolution features are live globally now
Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Slowpoke, Gastly, Mareep, Buneary and Snover will be available in the wild
Mega Kangaskhan will be in Mega Raid battles
There will be new Branched Special Research for you to choose Venusaur, Charizard or Blastoise and test out Mega Evolution
There will be Field Research to give Mega Energy
On May 1st from 11am to 2pm local time, it will be a Mega Kangaskhan Raid Day, with Mega Kangaskhan appearing in Mega Raids, 5 free Raid Passes from Gyms, and increased chance of Shiny Kangaskhan

Niantic have announced through various news sites details the next Pokémon GO Fest events for this coming summer. For the Play Where You Are event on June 4th and 5th, it will introduce Shaymin Land Forme to the game. It is accessed through a ticket costing $14.99 which gives you access to both this event and the finale event in August
Day 1
All Players will find the following Pokémon in Habitats rotating throughout the event:
-City: Alolan Grimer, Baltoy, Bronzor, Gothita, Golett, Hitmonchan, Litten, Magnemite, Pidove, Trash Cloak Burmy, Trubbish
-Plains: Buizel, Drilbur, Dunsparce, Girafarig, Larvitar, Litleo, Numel, Patrat, Rufflet, Shelmet, Trapinch
-Rainforest: Binacle, Chimchar, Karrablast, Mudkip, Rowlet, Seedot, Shroomish, Skrelp, slakoth, Turtwig, Venipede

This set is due out on May 27th and includes a small 30 card subset, the Trainer Gallery. Ahead of its release tomorrow, Pokémon UNITE has revealed the contents of the next Battle Pass. This Battle Pass focuses on Blastoise and Charizard, providing new Holowear for them as well as some Cherry Blossom themed items
They also confirmed a new Event Mission will go live on April 28th which will contain new Holowear for Eldegoss and Trevenant by collection flowers doing tasks
A new Ranked Battle Season will begin with new Mamoswine Holowear
From May 7th, the first Saturday of each month will be a two day event known as Pokémon UNITE Day. During this event, all Pokémon can be played for free. There will be some sales on Holowear. You will get more Aeos Coins and Aeos Energy from battle
They have also announced a Pokémon UNITE Membership coming soon. Each month you will get special Holowear of the month, two free UNITE license trials, two Holowear License Trials a week, new Chat Balloons for members, 10% discount for Trainer Fashion, and 40 Gems every day. First registration gets a Hoopa Set Fashion item. The subscription costs 1150 Yen each month, with other currnecies not announced. It will auto renew but can be cancelled at any time. Contensts cannot be shared between Switch and Mobile versions

Niantic have announced a new change to Mega Evolution that is coming to Pokémon GO, live now in a soft launch in Australia and New Zealand and going global soon
Once a Pokémon has Mega Evolved for the first time using Mega Energy, it can now Mega Evolve without any further Mega Energy but with a cooldown, but the cooldown can be reduced with further Mega Energy
Mega Levels are a new feature in the game. When you Mega Evolve a Pokémon, you will gain points towards its Mega Level and whenever the Mega Level increases, the bonuses will increase. Alongside the Candy and damage bonuses currently in Mega Evolution, you will now get an Increased Chance of finding Candy XL, increased experience for catching Pokémon of the same type as the Mega Evolved Pokémon, and its rest period

The next online competition has been fully announced. This competition, the Global Challenge 2022 is a Double Battle competition with standard VGC rules. All players who enter and participate in at least 3 battles will receive 50 BP. This competition is also being used to determine the entrants for the Japan Championships in Japan, and players can earn Championship Points if enrolled in the Play! Pokémon circuit
Registration is open now to May 5th at 23:59 UTC. Battles will run from May 6th 00:00 UTC to May 8th 23:59 UTC.

This Dracovish is based on the Dracovish used by Marco Silva in the 2020 Oceania International Championships that brought him to become the champion of the competition. The Pokémon Company have announced a new form of competitive competition in Japan. This is the Pokémon Battle Master competition where players have to show their skills at both the TCG and the Video Games, and when you have achieved enough points you can enter and participate in a final competition
The video games will be entered through an online competition in June. Players will use Sword & Shield and play in the Single Battle format. Players also need to have Pokémon HOME installed and linked to a Nintendo Account to enter
For the TCG, you will earn points from April through June through the City League and Trainers League events throughout Japan. The more points you obtain during this, the better
After both, you need to send in a form with your points to see if you qualify for the finals.

The Pokémon Company have put out some more details on the Pokémon Japan Championships 2022. These Championships will allow for players in Japan to earn a place to the Pokémon World Championships 2022 in London this August. The Japan Championships will run in person on June 11th and June 12th 2022 and will require entry to be earned through a variety of means
For Video Games, the top 150 players who ranked highly in the International Challenge February, March, April Online Competitions as well as the Pokémon Japan Championships Qualifier online competition in June. It will run in Swiss format until the finals which will be Single Elimination
For TCG, the top players in the Champions League competitions in Kyoto, Fukuoka, Aichi and Yokohama, as well as players with the highest CSP ranking will earn an invite. The format is Standard
For Pokémon GO, the top players in special Online qualifiers on April 28th, April 30th and May 8th, as well as winners of competitions in Pokémon Centers across Japan from April 23rd to May 15th will be able to enter. The ruleset is Great League format with a Swiss format until finals which will be single elimination

This event runs from 00:00 local time until 23:59 local time April 7th and features new Special Research around Team GO Rocket as wel;l as the ability to use Charged TMs to remove Frustration from Shadow Pokémon. It also adds Salandit & Salazzle into the game in 12km eggs

Niantic have announced the next Pokémon GO event. This event is the All-Hands Rocket Retreat event and is due to run from April 3rd at 00:00 to April 7th at 23:59 local time and introduces Salandit & Salazzle into the game alongside Shadow Latias
Salandit & Salazzle will be in 12km eggs
Giovanni will have Shadow Latias
Alolan Rattata, Alolan Sandshrew, Alolan Exeggutor, Sudowoodo, Girafarig and Numel wll now be shadow
Sneasel & Scraggy will be in Field Research
You can use Charged TMs to remove Frustration from Shadow Pokémon

Pokémon Sword & Shield - VGC Ruleset
Ranked Battle Series 12/Season 29 is now live. This ruleset returns to the set of using 2 Restricted Pokémon and brings back Dynamax. This season will run from April 1st at 04:00 UTC to April 30th at 23:59 UTC. Be sure to check out our section for full details and Pokémon restrictions.
With this, the twenty-eighth season of Pokémon Sword & Shield's Ranked Battle has come to an end and with it, the rewards for participation in battles is now live. To get them, you need to check your ranking in the Ranked Battle mode and then go to Mystery Gift > Receive via Battle Stadium. These rewards include BP and items range from Armorite Ore up to Bottle Caps depending upon your placement.

Three new pieces of Holowear have been announced for Pokémon UNITE. This is the Theater Style outfit for Decidueye which costs 1050 Gems, the Theater Style outfit for Alolan Ninetales which is also 1050 gems, and the Pastel Style for Eldegoss which costs 1200 Gems but is reduced to 840 Gems for a week

The Pokémon Company have officially revealed all the standard cards the next set for the Pokémon Sword & Shield TCG.This is the tenth TCG set and comes in two set: Time Gazer & Space Juggler and is out next week April 8th 2022. This set is a set primarily based around Pokémon from the Hisui Region including the first cards for more of the new Pokémon and forms introduced.
As such, our card listing and the associated Cardex have been updated with the details of this set with thanks to ToineLay for help with translation
