Pokémon GO - Mega Evoluion
Niantic have announced a new change to Mega Evolution that is coming to Pokémon GO, live now in a soft launch in Australia and New Zealand and going global soon
Once a Pokémon has Mega Evolved for the first time using Mega Energy, it can now Mega Evolve without any further Mega Energy but with a cooldown, but the cooldown can be reduced with further Mega Energy
Mega Levels are a new feature in the game. When you Mega Evolve a Pokémon, you will gain points towards its Mega Level and whenever the Mega Level increases, the bonuses will increase. Alongside the Candy and damage bonuses currently in Mega Evolution, you will now get an Increased Chance of finding Candy XL, increased experience for catching Pokémon of the same type as the Mega Evolved Pokémon, and its rest period

Niantic have announced the next Pokémon GO Community Day on May 21st will focus on Alolan Geodude. This event will 3* Catch Stardust, 2* Catch Candy and double the chance to get XL Candy as well as 3 hours Incense and Lure Modules.
It will also give out the move Rollout to Alolan Golem. You will be able to purchase a ticket to receive Special Research "A Rocky Road".
The Community Day runs at 11am to 2pm in each local time zone

DeNA have put out a new developer letter and unveiled some upcoming updates
First from April 28th they will give 3000 gems, a 3,300 gem login bonus and qa 1,200 Mission Bingo to celebrate 40 million downloads
Gold themed events will run including a new event called A Golden Future focused around Sygna Suit Morty & Shiny Ho-Oh. This begins on April 28th
A Solo Event, Gold Rush, begins on May 1st 2022
On May 5th 2022, a Daily Battle "The Golden Magikarp" will runw hich gives eggs to hatch Magikarp including a chance at Shiny Magikarp
Sinnoh Region will come to the Champion Stadium as of May 2nd 2022
The Johto Villain Arc will begin on May 19th 2022
A new Legendary Gauntlet will run on May 24th 2022 themed around Regirock, Latios and Tornadus
The game will also have a major UI update in the future.

Pokémon Masters EX
A special event has begun. For one day only each month on the 25th, the Pokémon Masters Day event will be held. This event will give you a variety of rewards for completion. Alongside this, a special 25 Gem for 11 Sync Pair scout is now live. We've updated our Pokémon Masters Day page with the details of this month's event.
In addition to that, a new Blissful Bonanza event is now live. It runs until May 2nd 2022
