Pokémon Augmented Reality Showcase
Today is the special Pokémon Augmented Reality Showcase live from the International Space Station. As part of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA)'s livestream from the KIBO module on the ISS, this showcase will run alongside other elements hosted by Coca-Cola and Twitter and will showcase Pokémon in augmented reality over live imagery of space. It is being streamed on Twitter and Youtube by JAXA from 14:45 UTC / 09:45 EST / 06:45 PST.
Edit: The stream featuring Pokémon is over. It featured Pikachu in the capsule alongside Astronaut Soichi Noguchi followed by a live view outside the ISS with Rayquaza flying around.

The Champion Stadium has been updated in Pokémon Masters EX. With this update, the Hard Lv. 1 Mode allows for players to battle against the Johto Elite Four & Champion. Each battle can be completed once a week with types of Sync Pairs used going towards your medal
New with this reset is the Master Mode. Here, you can earn points by inflicting certain elements onto the battle such as increasing opponents power in order to get better rewards.
Alongside this, some Special Scouts have begun. Each day this week a scout based on a region will be available, only focusing on Sync Pairs of a region starting today with a Kanto & Johto Scout. It can be done one time only and guarantees a 5 Star

Niantic have announced the next Pokémon GO event. This event is the Unova Celebration Event and featured an increased focus of Unova Pokémon. It runs from January 5th 08:00 local time to January 10th 22:00 local time.
This event features increased spawns of Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, Lillipup, Herdier, Blitzle, Roggenrola, Drilbur, Scraggy, Tympole, Venipede, Trubbish, Gothita, Solosis and Ferroseed with Shiny Snivy appearing starting with this event
Roggenrola, Sewaddle, Petilil, Emolga, Karrablast, Joltik, Elgyem, and Shelmet will be in 5km Eggs
There will be Field Research tasks that give Stardust or encounters with Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott or Ferroseed
There will be 1 Star Raids of Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, Timburr, Dwebble, and Klink, 3 Star raids featuring Herdier, Tranquill, Excadrill, and Amoonguss and the 5 Star raid features Burn Drive Genesect, though it is incapable of being shiny.
A new feature will be in this event for Collection Challenges. More information will come in early January.
Following this event will be the Sinnoh Celebration Event which runs from January 12th through 17th

During this event, Slowpoke will be available with special 2020 Glasses, which then evolves into a Slowbro with 2021 glasses
Pichu will be available with a New Year's Hat in 2km eggs with Pikachu with the New Years Hat in the wild and in Field Research. It can also evolve into a Raichu in the New Years Hat.
Wynaut will also be hatching in 2km Eggs
Raticate, Wobbuffet and Wurmple with party hats will be in 1 Star Raids. Klink and Espurr will also be in 1 Star Raids

There will also be a ticket for $1 to get the Special Research "Straight to the Top, Machop!", but it'll be free if you purchased the Pokémon GO Tour: Kanto tickets. There will also be a special Community Day Box for 1,280 Coins including an Elite Charged TM, four Incense, four Star Pieces and 30 Ultra Balls. We'll bring more details as they come.

The Players Cup III has been announced. This competition contains arms for Video Games, TCG and the return of Pokkén Tournament.
Video game players will obtain a spot by participating in the next Online Competition which takes place from January 15th 2021 - January 17th 2021 with the top 256 players each in North America, Europe and Latin America and Top 128 in Oceania qualifying. Regional Qualifiers take place March 20th and 27th with Global Finals on April 10th-11th

DeNA have outlined some upcoming changes to Pokémon Masters EX
First there will be a change to Stamina with Stamina recovering 1 point every 4 minutes rather than every 6 minutes
Theme Skills will be introduced. These will be tags such as Kanto, Elite Four, Gym Leaders etc. which are activated when two or more Sync Pairs are on a team. If multiple skills match, then all matching effects are activated.
Day Care Limit will be increased from 100 to 200
There will be presents for everyone who logs in after December 24th at 06:00 UTC
On December 28th, the new Champion Stadium update appears, with Johto being the new focus including the Johto Elite Four and Champion. Master Mode will also be added, offering more of a challenge to players
A new Story Event, Season's Greetings will begin on January 1st. This introduces new Sync Pairs in New Years Outfits and players will receive a Special Gift
The Pure Hearts and Rainbow Wings event will begin a repeat run on January 4th 2021 with Silver's Level Cap increasing to Level 130

Pokémon Trading Card Game - 2021 Reveal
The Pokémon Company have announced the next new feature of the Pokémon TCG - Battle Styles. Starting with the next set in Japan due out next month, and in the west in March, many cards will start to have a special tag. These tags are based on Urshifu's two form fighting styles: Single Strike and Rapid Strike. Various Pokémon, Trainer and Energy cards will have this tag and different move, ability and Trainer effects will call upon cards of these styles incentivising making a deck around them.
The sets in Japan are to release on January 22nd in two sets of 70 cards each.
The Battle Styles set in the west will release March 19th containing over 163 cards including 60 Battle Style, 12 Pokémon V, 6 Pokémon V Max and 16 Full art cards

Niantic have announced the next event in Pokémon GO. This event is the Holidays 2020 Event and features a myriad of winter related activities. First, it introduces Vanillite, Vanillish and Vanilluxe into the game as well as Costumed Pikachu, Delibird and Cubchoo. This event runs from 08:00 local time on December 22nd to 22:00 on December 31st
Ice-type Pokémon like Spheal, Snover and Vanillite will spawn in the wild.
Seel, Swinub, Smoochum, Snorunt, Snover and Vanillite will be appearing in 5km Eggs
Alolan Sandshrew, Dewgong, Jynx, Sneasel, Swinub, Walrein, Cubchoo, and Cryogonal will be in Raids with Mega Abomasnow appearing more. It'll also be boosted in power during this event. Jynx will also now be available as a Shiny in the wild as of this event
There will be special Winter avatar items including a Greedent Sweaterr, Whimsicott Earmuffs, Winter Boots, and Winter Coat. There will also be Limited Stickers during the event
There will also be some bonuses. Throughout the event, you'll be able to open 45 gifts a day and carry up to 40 gifts. There will also be special bonuses that change every two days, running from midnight to midnight local time:

From December 18th at 10:00 local time to December 21st at 20:00 local time, all players will get various special bonuses: Jynx, Swinub, Spoink, Woobat, Cubchoo will spawn more in Incense. Incense will last for 3 hours and will be more effective. Shiny Cubchoo will also be added to the game.
There is also a special Ticket for purchase. This Ticket gives Special Research that allows you to get Galarian Mr. Mime. It also provies a medal, and a pose. The research gives you three Incense, three Rare Candies, 30 Ultra Balls, three Premium Battle Passes, one Poffin, two Glacial Lure Modules, three Super Incubators, and three Star Pieces and encounters Alolan Vulpix, Jigglypuff, Jynx, Whismur, Chimecho, and Snorun. A fix has been pushed to the Nintendo Switch version of Pokémon HOME. This fix will allow for the correction of movesets for Alolan Form and Galarian Form Pokémon that were sent from Pokémon GO to Pokémon HOME froim November 11th to 16th. That bug gave those Pokémon the movesets of its standard learnset. Now, if you connect to the game on the Nintendo Switch and connect to a Sword & Shield save file, it'll automatically fix those Pokémon's learnsets

Niantic have announced the next event in Pokémon GO, based on the upcoming movie, Pokémon Secrets of the Jungle. On December 14th at 08:00 local time, Special Research will appear in the game to get an encounter with Shiny Celebi
Jessie & James will return
Explorer Pikachu will appear in the wild and Raids from December 14th through December 21st.
An event will run for the movie from December 14th at 08:00 local time to December 17th at 22:00 local time featuring Hoothoot, Nuzleaf, Drilbur, Cottonee, Dwebble and Durant with Lickitung, Mawile, Flygon and Rufflet in raids. Igglybuff, Smoochum, Elekid, Magby, Bonsly and Rufflet will be in 5km eggs and Shiny Rufflet will be available
Jessie & James' baloon will appear more frequently from 08:00 to 22:00 local time on December 25th to commemorate the movie's launch in Japan on that day

Now, you have the ability to create custom tags to group together certain Pokémon and then be able to access a list of those Pokémon from the left side of the Pokémon menu. You can create up to 100 tags with the colours Blue, Green, Purple, Yellow, Red, Orange, Grey and Black and you have the ability to check a Pokémon's tag from their status screen and check all other Pokémon with that tag

Pokémon Café Mix has received an update. This update has added 50 new Regular Order stages, with the addition of various new gimmicks and offerings. It also altered Master Mode so that the stages are random and not set. We're currently compiling details for all these updates so be sure to keep checking back.

With this, the Bug and Poison-type Pokémon have left the boosted raids and with this, various Ice & Fire Pokémon have been added including Gigantamax Centiskorch and Gigantamax Lapras. Pokémon Sword & Shield - VGC Ruleset
Ranked Battle Series 7/Season 13 is now live. This ruleset adds all Pokémon that were added with The Crown Tundra and brings back the 16 banned Pokémon from the previous season. This will run from December 1st at 04:00 UTC to December 31st at 23:59 UTC. With this, the rewards that you'll get after this month's Season have also been announced including the addition of Dynite Ore as a reward

Pokémon Sword & Shield - Ranked Battle Rewards
The eleventh season of Pokémon Sword & Shield's Ranked Battle has come to an end and with it, the rewards for participation in battles is now live. To get them, you need to check your ranking in the Ranked Battle mode and then go to Mystery Gift > Receive via Battle Stadium. These rewards include BP and items range from Armorite Ore up to Bottle Caps depending upon your placement. We have full details of the rewards in our Ranked Battle section

Niantic have announced further details for the Kalos Celebration event starting tomorrow at 10:00 local time.This event features Chespin, Fennekin, Froakie, Bunnelby, Fletchling, Litleo, and Noibat in the wild and some egg changes
Bunnelby, Fletchling, and Litleo will be hatching from 2 km Eggs.
Chespin, Fennekin, and Froakie will be hatching from 5 km Eggs.
Espurr and Noibat will be hatching from 10 km Eggs.
There will also be Field Research and Timed Research with this event

This event, Pokémon GO Tour: Kanto is inspired by the release of Red & Green and give players the opportunity to choose between Red and Green, each featuring exclusive Pokémon and Special Research to collaborate with other Trainers to get all 151 Pokémon in a single day. The Pokémon Company International have revealed a new website, Pokémon Kids Winter Fest where players, specifically children, can participate in a variety of mini-games to compete and play in order to earn badges for over 890 Pokémon.
The activites include Snow Holes where you hit Diglett in holes, Waterfall Crossing where you have to bounce Pokémon across a river on a Snorlax, Relay Ridge, a race to get through the area and Battle Dunk a battle to knock other Pokémon into water. There's also a pair up game where you match two Pokémon together and a Scene Creator where you can set a scene with various Pokémon. Each of these gives you Pokémon badges. There's also Daily Rewards and Mythical Pokémon Missions
