Day & Night Cycle |
|
Unlike the previous Pokémon games since Pokémon Gold & Silver, Pokémon Legends: Arceus doesn't run on real-time. Instead, it has its own day/night cycle that moves as gameplay progresses in the Obsidian Fieldlands, Crimson Mirelands, Cobalt Coastlands, Coronet Highlands and Alabaster Icelands. This cycle runs for 24 minutes before going through again equating 1 minute to 1 in-game hour The time cycle doesn't alter much but does change certain spawns of Pokémon, as well as some tasks only being available during that certain time. Music does activate at specific times including when Morning begins, Day Begins, Night Begins and Midnight |
List of Time Cycle Durations
Picture | Time | Duration | In-Game Hours |

Day | 6 minutes | 11:00 - 17:00 | |

Changing Time |
|||||||||||
The time can be changed by going to the camps or your bed in Jubilife Village. If you go and take a rest, you'll have the ability to push to the various time periods; Morning, Day, Evening and Night. This will put you to the allotted time Doing this will however reset the current state in the area, so timings for Space-Time Distortions and other similar timed elements will be reset.

Lunar Cycle |
|||||||||||
New to this game is a lunar cycle. As it turns night, you can see the moon go across the field from west to east. However, this cycle does change and you'll see the moon through the various phases from New Moon to Full Moon and back again To change to the next cycle, you just need to push through at camp to the next night, or simply just wait. The Lunar Cycle doesn't affect gameplay much but a Full Moon is required to evolve Ursaring into Ursaluna and to complete the The Clefairy's Moonlit Dance. |
