Professor Rowan is the most renowned Pokémon Professor in the land of Sinnoh. He gives Pokémon out to the young Pokémon trainers, but also likes to study Pokémon in the wild.

	Turtwig Turtwig is the Grass Type Pokémon starter that Professor Rowan gives to the new trainers in Sinnoh. He has a fair few Turtwigs around, all of which are young and awaiting trainers.
	Chimchar Chimchar is the Fire Type Pokémon starter that Professer Rowan gives to the new trainers in Sinnoh. Like Turtwig, he keeps a fair few Chimchar around so that many trainers can get them. Several presume that Professor Rowan gave Paul his Chimchar, although this is not yet actually known. The Chimchar first seen in Rowan's lab was an unruly trouble maker that managed to get away before being caught by
	Piplup Piplup is the Water Type Pokémon starter that Professor Rowan gives to the new trainers in Sinnoh. Like the others, Rowan keeps a fair few young Piplup around for multiple trainers.
