Biography
Morty is the Gym Leader in Ecruteak City. Morty is a kind person who also teaches students on the powers of Ghost Pokémon. Inspired by the Legends and Legendary Pokémon, Morty does a lot of study into them with Eusine, especially since they inhabited Ecruteak City. When he met Ash, he originally did not believe that Ash had seen the Legendary Bird, Ho-oh and later Suicune until he battled Ash and saw the righteousness in his heart. Even though Morty uses Ghost Pokémon, he does not have the demeanor that many people would expect from someone who spends his time with Ghost Pokémon.
Achievements
Morty has worked up the ranks and become the Ecruteak City Gym Leader.

Gengar
Gengar is Morty's main Pokémon. Always hanging out with Morty, Gengar has also been known to play tricks on people who enter the Burnt Tower. In battle, Gengar is highly formidable with many strong Ghost attacks. However the Psychic attacks of Noctowl managed to make short work of it.

Haunter
Haunter, another fo Morty's Ghost Pokémon, also enjoys playing tricks on people in the Burnt Tower. However in battle, it is capable of evading attacks and eventually managed to defeat Ash's Cyndaquil only to be quickly defeated by the Psychic attacks of Noctowl.

Gastly
Gastly is another Ghost Pokémon of Morty's. Gastly has a powerful Lick attack that was capable of Paralyzing Pokémon. It also has several ghostly attacks such has Hypnosis that can incapacitate it's opponents. It was defeated in the end by Ash's Cyndaquil.
