Previous Pokémon games had several differences between the two versions. In all games there were different Pokémon in different locations and Ruby & Sapphire took it further by having a different storyline between the games. However, Black & White take this feature to another level and includes areas that are slightly and completely different between the two games. Pokémon Black 2 & White 2 take it further with even more new areas
Black City Black City is a city that is completely exclusive to Pokémon Black 2. This city will feature many characters and tasks that will not occur in Pokémon White. In it, you'll find numerous trainers to battle and numerous shops selling items. It has received a change in look since Pokémon Black & White. Black City now has the Black Tower, where you battle through a variety of trainers to get to the end. White Forest has similar features and they can now interchange. |

Route 4
One of the more promoinent changes within the game is Route 4. In Pokémon Black 2, Route 4 isa nice smart street which still offshoots to the desert here and there, but it's generally considered a well kept place. In contrast, however, Pokémon White 2 has it completely different where during construction of the road, they discovered some ancient lost ruins underneath. It has violent sandstorms ripping through the area and most of the buildings are based on ruins.

Aesthetic Changes
As in Pokémon Black & White, Opelucid City also has some changes in its appearance to match how it was in the previous games. Like before, this changes the layout but every person in the city is still pretty much identical.

Aesthetic Changes
In addition to the completely different areas in the same place of Unova, a variety of cities and areas in the Unova region will have aesthetic differences in the different versions. This cave is located in the east of Unova and connects Lentimas Town to Undella Town. It is water filled in Black 2 or Magma filled in White 2.

Minor Changes
Mistralton City also has a slight difference in appearance in appearance, although unlike Opelucid City, there are no further changes based on it. In Pokémon Black 2, alongside the airfield there are numerous greenhouses. However, in Pokémon White 2, there are just various plots of ground to signify plant growing, though you can't use them to grow berries. The plants change depending upon the season

Layout Changes
There are also a few layout changes in the game based upon the game's version. First example is the Plasma Frigate. When you enter via Route 21, you gain access to the first deck of the ship. This floor of the ship is seperated by a massive pillar at the top. In Black 2, you go into the top half and in White 2, you go into the bottom half. These halves have different trainers and a different puzzle to complete. In Black 2 it's a warp-tile puzzle and in White 2, you have to collect the Plasma Card and passwords. Conversely, when you reach the second floor when entering through Giant Chasm, the puzzles and trainers are also switched with Black 2 having the collection of Plasma Card and passwords and White 2 having the warp-tile puzzle
