If you play the game using a Bana Passport and your Bana account between October 15th and November 3rd, you will be able to play with the Shadow Mewtwo event. This event is to give various gifts. The first is the gift you get after beating Shadow Mewtwo on Hard Mode. This is a special title featuring Shadow Mewtwo for your character calling you a Resonated Legend. Next, there's an aggregate score campaign. As you play the event, you'll accumulate a score and as the score increases you will get some new outfits and titles including a costume based on Professor Sycamore. Thirdly, there is an additional feature called Specialised Resonance which will boost your Burst Gauge each round regardless of if you won or lost. Finally, various new player outfits are being released.

If you play the game using a Bana Passport and your Bana account between December 18th 2015 & January 11th 2015, you will be able to play with the Shadow Mewtwo event. This event is a join Christmas and New Year event and provides a variety of bonuses. First, if you manage to get Sceptile up to Level 15 before January 11th., you will get given some clothing for your avatar. In addition to that, if you use a BANA Passport by December 27th you will receive Farfetch'd and Electrode as Support Pokémon and unlock a special Christmas avatar bonus. This ranges from a Christmas hat to Party hats as well as various Christmas player titles. Finally, a special Santa Claus set of costumes will be available when you log in over Christmas week

If you play the game using a Bana Passport and your Bana account between May 2nd 2016 - May 15th 2016, you will be able to play with the Mewtwo event. This event allows for you to unlock the character Mewtwo during your play. In addition to this, the support set of Pachirisu and Magikarp is also now available. Both of these are already within the Wii U version of the title. In addition to this, new titles have been unlocked for the arcade game, as well as a new background for your avatar and finally new avatar items. There is also a ranking event going on which unlocks additional new titles as well as a Happy Balloon background. It also adds the Pressure Focused Cheer Skill to the arcade version
