Niantic have fully detailed the next Pokémon GO season, the Season of Light, starting September 1st through December 1st
First there is to be Special Research throughout the event. Part 1 comes on September 1st, Part 2 on October 5th and Part 3 on November 23rd. This Special Research is focused around the Pokémon Cosmog
There will be special avatar items and stickers throughout the event
All forms of Deoxys will be available in raids from September1st through 13th.
Two unknown Pokémon will be in raids from September 13th through 27th
Yveltal will be in raids from September 27th trough October 8th
An unknown Mega Evolved Pokémon will be in Mega Raids from September 6th through 16th
Another unknown Mega Evolved Pokémon will be in Mega Raids from September 16th through 27th
Mega Lopunny will be in Mega Raids from September 27th through October 8th
Medicham will be the Research Breakthrough reward from September 1st through October 1st
There will be a Deoxys Raid Day on September 11th
Psychic Spectacular event will run from September 6th through 12th
Clefairy Commotion will run 6pm to 9pm local time on September 10th
A Test Your Mettle event will run September 16th through 21st
Fashion Week will run from September 27th through October 3rd

Niantic have announced a Limited Research Day for September 3rd. This Research Day will focus on the Pokémon Inkay and will feature Field Research to get encounters with it, introducing its Shiny variant into the game
There will be 2* Capture Candy for the duration of the event
Alolan Rattata, Murkrow, Houndour, Poochyena, Nuzleaf, Sableye, Purrloin and Galarian Zigzagoon will be in the wild
The Research Day runs at 11am to 2pm in each local time zone

Great League and Little Jungle Cup Remix run from September 1st through 8th
Great League and Psychic Cup run from September 8th through 15th
Ultra League and Weather Cup run from September 15th through 22nd
Ultra League and Ultra Premier Classic run from September 22nd through 29th
Master League and Master League Premier Classic run from September 29th through October 6th
Master League and Evolution Cup run from October 6th through October 13th
All three leagues run from OCtober 13th through 20th
Great League and Halloween Cup will run from October 20th through 27th
Great League and Halloween Cup Ultra League Edition will run from October 27th through November 3rd
Ultra League and Willpower Cup run from November 3rd through 10th
Ultra League and Ultra League Premier run from November 10th through 17th
Master League and Element Cup ReMix run from November 17th through 24th
Master League and Catch Cup: Season of Light run from November 24th through December 1st
There will be GO Battle Day on October 1st focused around Guzma with 4* Stardust from wins alongside Timed Researchthat rewards Experience, Rare Candy, a Guzma inspired Watch and an Elite Charge TM
A GO Battle Day focused around Miltank will run from November 6th and offer Miltank as a reward encounter with increased chance of Shiny Miltank. It will also have Timed Research offering Experience, Rare CAndy, Miltank Encounter and an Elite Charged TM
Rewards will be based around Guzma with players reaching Rank Ace Rank, Veteran, Expert and Legend getting avatar items: Gloves, Shoes, Top, Shorts and a pose respectively inspired by his iconic pose. The Pokémon rewards are also changed to match Pokémon he has
Rank 1 has a guaranteed encounter with Pinsir, and standard encounters with Poliwag, Wingull, Meditite, Woobat, Litwick
Rank 6 adds encounters with Mienfoo, Skarmory, Frillish
Rank 11 adds encounters with Onix, Lickitung, Hitmontop, Ralts and Phantump
Rank 16 adds Espeon, Umbreon and Miltank
Rank 20 adds the current Legendary Pokémon
Veteran Rank adds Axew encouters
Expert Rank adds Noibat encounters
Legend Rank provides a guaranteed encounter with Pikachu Libre
Two moves will be added to the game: Double Kick which does 8 damage in Trainer Battles and 10 in gyms, and Fairy Wind which does 3 Damage in Trainer Battles & 9 inGyms
Some changes to movepools have also been confirmed

The next event has begun in Pokémon Masters EX, as part of the third anniversary celebrations. This event, the Threads of Strength event which tells the story of Red and Cynthia reaching to new heights. Alongside this, the Master Fair Scout offering Cynthia Sygna Suit (Aura) & Lucario are available. Both run until October 3rd 2022

As part of a new Pokémon Air Adventures campaign in Singapore, a new Pokémon GO Safari Zone has been announced for November 18th to 20th in Singapore. This event will add Shiny Purrloin to the game and will feature spawns of Maractus. At present further details are not known but we'll provide them as they come
