Pokémon Sword & Shield
The next online competition has been announced. This competition, the Mythical Melee is a Single Battle competition that only allows for you to use Legendary or Mythical Pokémon. All players who enter get 50 BP
Registration is open now to September 9th 23:59 UTC. Battles will run from September 10th 00:00 UTC to September 12th 23:59 UTC.

Pokémon Masters EX
DeNa have unveiled the first part of their special 2nd anniversary campaign. This campaign will begin on August 30th 2021 at 06:00 UTC.
Lillie & Lunala will run from August 28th 2021
N & Reshiram will run from August 30th 2021
Steven & Shiny Rayquaza will run from September 1st 2021
A special out for for Misty & Psyduck will run from August 28th
10,000 gems will be available between August 28th and September 14th
A special Seasonal Scout will run from September 3rd and 10th that will include the various previous Seasonal Sync Pairs

Pokémon TV Switch
The special app, Pokémon TV, is now available to download on the Nintendo Switch eShop in the US, Europe and Australia. This app allows for people to watch the Pokémon anime, past Pokémon competitive event streams and more on their Nintendo Switch device for free. This matches the TV apps, Smartphone apps and web-based app for the software. It also adds a Junior tab that showcases content from the Pokémon Kids TV YouTube channel

Pokémon GO
Niantic have unveiled the lineup for Pokémon GO Battle League Season 9:
Great League & Great League Remix will run from August 30th through September 13th
Ultra League & Ultra League Remix will run from September 13th through September 27th
Master League, Master League Classic and Little Jungle Cup will run from September 27th through October 11th. You will receive 3* Stardust from winning. Little Jungle Cup requires Pokémon to be 500 CP or lower. Only Normal, Grass, Electric, Poison, Ground, Flying, Bug and Dark-type Pokémon are allowed.
Great League and Halloween Cup will run from October 11th through October 25th. Halloween Cup requires Pokémon to be at 1500CP or below and be Poison, Bug, Ghost, Dark or Fairy-type
Ultra League, Ultra League Premier Classic and Halloween Cup will run until November 8th (with Halloween Cup ending on November 2nd)
Master League, Master League Premier Classic and Special Cup will run from November 8th through November 22nd. Special Cup will be decided via a Players Choice poll on social media at a later point
Great League, Ultra League and Master League will run from November 22nd through November 29th.
There will be GO Battle Days on September 18th, November 1st and November 20th which give players 20 sets of battles during the time
Rewards will be based around Leon with players reaching Rank Ace Rank, Veteran, Expert and Legend getting avatar items: Gloves, Shoes, Top, Shorts and a pose respectively inspired by his iconic pose. The Pokémon rewards are also changed to match Pokémon she has
Rank 1 has a guaranteed encounter with Charizard, and standard encounters with Gothita, Solosis, Sableye, Charmeleon, Hypno and Nidorina
Rank 6 adds encounters with Mienfoo
Rank 11 adds encounters with Seismitoad, Drifblim, Rhydon, Litwick, Frillish
Rank 16 adds Snorlax, Scraggy, Rufflet
Rank 20 adds the current Legendary Pokémon
Veteran Rank adds Noibat encouters
Expert Rank adds Deino encounters
Legend Rank provides a guaranteed encounter with Pikachu Libre
You will receive more Candy XL when you catch Poliwhirl, Flaaffy, Pupitar, Medicham, Scraggy, Galvantula, Lampent, and Stunfisk from GO Battle League
There will also be some move updates as of Season 9:
Weather Ball will be reduced to 55 damage for both Trainer Battles & Gyms
Crunch has a chance of lowering opponent's Defense
Zap Cannon will lower the opposing Pokémon's Attack
Scald has a lower Energy cost and has a chance of lowering the opponent's Attack
Feather Dance has an Energy cost increase
Mega Horn will increase damage to 110
Nidoking will learn Sand Tomb
Poliwrath will learn Scald
Heracross will learn Rock Blast
Manectric will learn Thunder Fang and Overheat
Castform will learn Weather Ball (Normal)
Cofagrigus will learn Shadow Claw

As part of the Ultra Unlock: Sword & Shield event, the Raid Bosses have now shifted in Pokémon GO. These add Zamazenta to the game as well as giving various different raids. These run until September 1st 2021
In The TCG Department
Pokémon Trading Card Game - 2021 Reveal
The Pokémon Company have officially announced the next new set for the Pokémon Trading Card Game. This set is called Fusion Strike and will be released November 12th 2021. It will contain over 260 cards including 20 Pokémon V and 8 Pokémon VMAX with 13 full art cards and more as well as over 20 Trainer cards and 7 full art Supporter cards. This set is made up of ther Fusion Arts TCG set and introduces the new Fusion Strike Style that works with Rapid Strike & Single Strike. We'll provide full details on the set as it comes

Pokémon TCG Live
As details have come for Fusion Strike, the retailer details have come out and have shown a slight change. On the packaging, the current app, Pokémon Trading Card Game online is no longer listed but it shares that the packs will contain a code card for "Pokémon TCG Live". Currently we have no further details on if this replaces Trading Card Game Online or is a rebrand of the prior app but we'll provide full details as they come

Pokémon - LINE Stickers
For those of you who have the social media app, LINE on your iOS, Android or Windows Mobile devices, The Pokémon Company have put out some new stickers for Japan. These stickers are based on Pokémon Masters EX and feature a variety of the Sync Pairs from the game. They cost 250¥/Ł1.49/$1.99
