Todays picture of the day has revealed a brand new stage for the 3DS version of Super Smash Bros. This stage is based upon N's Castle & the Unova Pok�mon League and includes Reshiram, Zekrom and Milotic in its stage hazards. The true mechanics of this stage are not yet known but will be added as soon as we get them.

Pok�mon X & Y

Registration for the next Battle Competition has begun. This battle competition is the Super Speed Double Battle and runs for all regions at the same time. This competition runs special rules. This is a Double Battle and you can use any Pok�mon except Mewtwo, Mew, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Celebi, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Jirachi, Deoxys, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin, Arceus, Victini, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Keldeo, Meloetta, Genesect, Xerneas, Yveltal, Zygarde, and Diancie, excluding ones that have been transferred. This battle tournament is unique in that you only select 3 of your 4 Pok�mon, you don't see the opponent's team, and you have a matter of 20 seconds to make your move. The Pok�mon are raised to Level 50 for the competition and you can have 10 battles a day. Registration runs until August 8th while the competition itself runs from August 8th through to August 10th. All people who participate will receive 1,000 Pok�Mile Points

Pok�mon Art Academy - Groudon & Kyogre Template Distribution

For those of you with Pok�mon Art Academy in Japan, some new dates were revealed for the Groudon & Kyogre template downloads. This follows on from the previous distributions of them since the game's launch last month. First, the Groudon template will run again from today, July 31st, to August 6th, then again from August 14th to August 20th and finally from August 28th to September 3rd. The Kyogre template will run from August 7th to August 13th, then from August 21st to August 27th and finally from September 4th to September 10th. We'll bring more as it comes

For all Pok�mon X & Y players across the world, the special Fancy Vivillon Pattern distribution over the Nintendo Network is due to end on Thursday. This Vivillon pattern cannot be obtained naturally in-game, has the special move Hold Hands, and was given to commemorate the passing of the 100 million GTS trade milestone and has been running since July 6th. To receive this Vivillon, just go to Mystery Gift and Receive Gift Via Internet. Be sure to get yours as soon as you can

In addition to that, Shigeki Morimoto will be at Gamescom on August 14th 2014 to sign autographs and there will be a video message from Pok�mon game director Junichi Masuda regarding Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, and a special Pok�mon Battle Competition where you can win a copy of Pok�mon Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire. Pok�mon - Trademark

A new trademark, along with its associated logo, was filed on June 27th 2014 in Japan and cleared & made public today. This trademark, registered by Nintendo, GameFreak and Creatures Inc. is for Pok�mon Game Factory (ポケモンゲームファクトリー). It is not currently known whether this trademark is for a game, an arcade game or various merchandise, as we have seen trademarks come up early for all three. We'll keep you informed on any developments

Details have been revealed about the special Pikachu we revealed two weeks ago being held at the Minato Mirai park called the Pikachu Outbreakchu from August 9th 2014 to August 17th 2014 in Japan. This Pikachu, which as noted before has special nicknames depending upon part of the park it is downloaded, has got the following moves; Thunderbolt, Quick Attack, Surf and Hold Hands and holds an Air Balloon. The battles for the latest Battle Competition have begun. This battle competition is the Battle of Legends and runs for all regions at the same time. This competition runs standard unique rules of it being a Double Battle where you can only use any Pok�mon, but with a restriction of no Diancie and no more than two legendary Pok�mon on your team. The competition runs until July 27th. All people who participate will receive 1,000 Pok�Mile Points

Pok�mon X & Y - Battle Competition

The latested Battle Competition has been fully detailed. This competition, Pikachu Tournamentchu, is currently only announced for Japan. This tournament is a Triple Battle competition that requires you to use Pok�mon that can evolve in the Kalos Pok�dex within your team. So you can use Pok�mon like Pikachu, Charmeleon, and Rhyhorn, but not Kangaskhan, Charizard or Klefki. You need to have a Pikachu on your team to participate and all Pok�mon are lowered to Level 30 for the tournament. No Pok�mon can be entered holding the Eviolite item and Pok�mon must be Kalos Native.
Registration runs from August 14th to August 22nd while the competition runs from August 22nd until August 24th 2014. All participants will receive the Light Ball as a present

The Pok�mon Company International has sent out a release detailing more about the news that has come this past week. In this release, it shows footage of Mega Metagross confirmed to have Tough Claws, as well as the reveal of the Pikachu appearences: Pikachu Belle, Pikachu Rock Star, Pikachu Pop Star, Pikachu Ph. D, Pikachu Libre.

Edit @ 15:15: More details on Mega Evolutions. Mega Diancie receives a big boost to its Speed, as well as boosts to its Attack and Sp. Atk, while experiencing a reduction in its Defense and Sp. Def. Mega Metagross also has a greatly increased Speed stat, with additional increases in its Attack, Defense, Sp. Atk, and Sp. Def, making Mega Metagross primed for both offense and defense.

The next batch of CoroCoro information has been posted to Japanese forums and this batch showcases more information about the upcoming game Pok�mon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire. In this latest image, it shows Mega Diancie and reveals to us its ability. Mega Diancie has got the ability Magic Bounce. It also confirms that next month's issue, due for release on August 12th, will have what they're calling a "Mega Evolution Scoop". We'll bring more when it comes.

The next batch of CoroCoro information has been posted to Japanese forums and this batch showcases more information about the games. First, it shows the new Pok�dex, which appears based on the GameBoy Advance, as well as a piece labelled Madame Pikachu. Another shows Brawly. We'll bring more as they come

As part of the annual Tanabata Festival in Japan, a new distribution will take place at the Pok�mon Center in Tohoku. This event will give you a Level 10 Shiny Jirachi. This Jirachi has the moves Wish, Swift, Healing Wish & Moonblast while holding a Star Piece, and will be given from August 1st to August 31st. We'll bring more details as it comes. It has been announced that Japan will receive a distribution of the Pok�Ball Pattern Vivillon in Pok�mon Centers throughout August from August 1st to August 31st, and in the Pok�mon Center Summer Festival from August 1st to August 18th. Pok�mon X & Y - Japanese Pikachu Event

In Japan., a special Pikachu event is being held at the Minato Mirai park called the Pikachu Outbreakchu. Within this specific event, there are loads of Pikachu attractions for people to participate in. One of these is a giveaway of a TCG Promotional card, a promotional Tretta, and the most noteworthy, a download Pikachu will be given. This Pikachu can be downloaded at multiple parts of the park, and has a different nickname depending upon where you downloaded it. It runs from August 9th 2014 to August 17th 2014. We'll bring more details on this event when we can.

Pikachu Tournamentchu: August - This Battle Competition is a Triple Battle competition. In this Battle Competition, you have to use Pikachu and you have to use Pok�mon that can evolve, and they have to be in the Kalos Pok�dex. In this, it revealed Mega Metagross, which will be used by Steven. Steven Mega Evolves Metagross using the Mega Brooch and the scan references the fact that there are different Pok�mon in Hoenn than before More details are to come .

Pok�mon X & Y - Charizard Event

For those of you in the UK, a new event has been announced. If you go to GAME, you will have the ability to download a Charizard, either via Nintendo Zone or through a Serial Code if asked for at the till. This event mimics the event that was in Japan earlier this year and offers a Charizard that will come with the Charizardite Y if you connect with Pok�mon X or Charizardite X if you connect with Pok�mon Y. It will run from July 11th to August 10th

Details of the next Battle Competition has been announced. This battle competition is the Super Speed Double Battle, which is another of the ones that were announced in May. This competition runs special rules. This is a Double Battle and you can use all Pok�mon except Mewtwo, Mew, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Celebi, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Jirachi, Deoxys, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin, Arceus, Victini, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Keldeo, Meloetta, Genesect, Xerneas, Yveltal, Zygarde, and Diancie. The Pok�mon have to be Kalos Native. The Pok�mon are raised to Level 50 for the competition and you can have 10 battles a day. This battle competition also has a specific twist where you only select 3 of the 6 Pok�mon in your team. Battles have a time limit of 10 minutes, and a time limit of 15 seconds for each move. You also cannot see your opponent's team before battle.
Registration runs from July 31st to August 7th while the competition itself runs from August 8th to August 10th. All people who participate will receive 1,000 Pok�Mile Points

For those of you in Europe, Pok�mon Trading Card Game, the GameBoy Color title first released in Japan in 1998 and then North America & Europe in 2000, is now available to download on the Nintendo 3DS eShop. This game is 65 blocks/8MB to download. Recently, with the help of Korusan, we upgraded our Trading Card Game GB section to include a mass amount of data from the game including card lists, Auto Deck Machine deck lists and more. It has been confirmed that Secret Bases have returned to Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, now known as Super-Secret Bases. As before, Secret Bases are created by using the move Secret Power on various parts of the Hoenn region including on walls and in trees. You can even set battle rules in your Secret Base. Players will be able to share their Secret Base with other Trainers around the world using StreetPass functionality, or they can create a QR Code for their unique Secret Base, enabling friends to visit it with ease. When visiting other Secret Bases, players can meet other Trainers in the same base and invite them back to their own Secret Base as Secret Pals. Players can interact and battle with Secret Pals, who have special skills that can support players in their adventures, such as sharing new Decorations, making a Pok�mon Egg hatch faster, or raising the level of a select Pok�mon by one. The more Secret Pals players have in their Secret Base, the more special skills will be available to help them in their adventures. Players can also capture flags while visiting other players� Secret Bases. Flags are located beside the Secret PC in each Secret Base. The more flags a player collects, the higher the rank earned, which brings rewards like improving the skills of a player�s Secret Pals. A new character called Aarune has been revealed for this, and he is the Secret Base Expert. He currently resides in Hoenn, but is a world traveler, and has a Flygon

Pok�mon X & Y - Minimum Pok�Ball Levels

Last year, I created a new game mechanic section which allowed for checking of what the lowest level each Pok�mon can be in each Pok�Ball. I have been gradually working on this but recently, there were numerous requests for an update so it is now live to cover all of Generation VI. As breeding now passes Pok�Balls, there's a difference in that, for base evolutions, it will show both Level 1 and the lowest level that it can be if captured. However, as there's manual entry, there's a little margin for error, so if you spot anything, let me know. Click the image to go to the page

This Vivillon is exclusive to this download and comes with the special move, Hold Hands, that no other Pok�mon can have.

Pok�mon TCG GB - Virtual Console

For those of you in Europe, the GameBoy Color title, Pok�mon Trading Card Game, is to be released on the Nintendo 3DS eShop from Thursday. This game was released in 2000 and features a variety of the early sets and has you play as a character who goes through the land, collecting the cards and challenging the leaders. The game will cost �4.49/�4.99. No North American or Japanese dates have been given for this, but we'll add them as soon as they're announced.

Today, we are covering a Pok�mon introduced in the first generation. It appears by waterways at dusk. It may use telekinetic powers if its forehead glows mysteriously. The forelegs are webbed, helping to make it an adept swimmer. It can be seen swimming elegantly in lakes, etc. The flippers of its well-developed limbs give it shocking speed. It is the best swimmer among Pok�mon. So here it is, the thirty-sixth entry, Golduck.

The spin-off game, Pok�mon Art Academy, is now available for download on the Nintendo 3DS eShop, and to purchase in stores in Europe. This game has an RRP of �29.99/�34.99 to download and will take up approximately 322.5MB of space on your SD card, or 2580 blocks if downloaded. We covered this game in full upon its release in Japan two weeks ago, and have spent the past day adding English screenshots and names to our section. This is a Rotation Battle and you can only use the following Pok�mon: Eevee, Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, Umbreon, Leafeon, Glaceon or Sylveon. They have to be Kalos Native. The Pok�mon are lowered to Level 30 for the competition and you can have 10 battles a day. Registration runs until July 10th while the competition itself runs from July 11th to July 13th. All people who participate will receive 1,000 Pok�Mile Points

Pok�mon TCG - Furious Fists

The latest details for the upcoming TCG set have been officially revealed. This set, Furious Fists, is to be released on August 13th and is set to feature over 110 cards, based upon the recent Rising Fist set in Japan, and focuses upon Fighting-types such as Mega Lucario. The new information provided today is regarding the theme decks. Dark Hammer and Enchanted Echo are based around Pangoro and Sylveon respectively. We'll bring more on this set when it's released.

Further details have been released for the upcoming Season 5 of the Special Battle in the Battle Spot mode of Pok�mon X & Y. As noted previously, this mode is a Special Battle mode that allows no items on your Pok�mon, to mirror battle styles of Pok�mon Red, Green & Blue.
