Looplets are a new feature in Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon. These are items that you can find within the various dungeons, receive as gifts or buy and essentially replace scarves. When attached to a Pokémon, they will provide a specific effect on the Pokémon such as preventing being poisoned. However, Looplets do differ from the Scarves significantly.

Each Looplet has got between 1 and 8 slots in them. With these slots, you can attach various Emera to the Looplet. This unlocks a lot of possibilities to the item, as well as to your dungeon voyage.

Emera are items that appear within dungeons. They are very unstable and can only be used in that dungeon and disappear from your pack and your Looplet as soon as you exit. When you enter a room with Emera on the ground, a number will appear above them. This number indicates how many moves you have until the Emera erupts and turns into dust. You will often also find the dust scattered about the dungeons, but if you collect enough Emera dust, a new Emera shall be formed for you to use.

To stop it from erupting, you need to send one of your party to the tile the Emera is on. This will stabilise it and allow for it to be put either in your pack or in your Looplet. Emera are special because they have multiple effects. Each Emera will give a boost to a stat when used away from Looplets, or each Emera will have a very specific effect when you attach it to a Looplet.
