Like the last three Super Smash Bros. games, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate includes Assist Trophies. These work similar to Poké Balls in that they are items that summon characters, but in this case, characters that don't quite make it as fighters but have some great aspects. In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, you can now fully damage and K.O. all of the Assist Trophies that interact physically with the players meaning they cannot just run the entire battlefield. There are 59 Assist Trophies in this game, and many of them can't appear in certain stages
