Niantic have announced the next Pokémon GO events for December 2020.
First, the Research Breakthrough Reward has been announced. From December 1st 2020 at 21:00 UTC to January 1st 2020 at 21:00 UTC you'll get either Lapras or Unovan Darumaka
The 5 Star Raid Battles have been confirmed. Kyurem will return to Raid Battles from December 1st 21:00 UTC to January 1st 21:00 UTC
Mega Abomasnow will replace Mega Blastoise in Raid Battles as of December 1st at 21:00 UTC
Niantic also confirmed that soon a Tag system will be implemented in Pokémon GO. This system will allow for you to tag Pokémon so you have easy access to certain groups that you can set yourself. The search feature will also then be updated to have enhanced usability

Niantic have announced the Spotlight Hours for the month of November. They happen at 6pm to 7pm local time are as follows:
December 1st - Seel - 2* Evolution Experience
December 8th - Swinub - 2* Catch Stardust
December 15th - Adventure Hat Pikachu - 2* Catch Candy
December 22nd - Snorunt - 2* Transfer Candy
December 29th - Snover - 2* Evolution Experience

Pokémon Masters EX
DeNA have outlined some upcoming changes to Pokémon Masters EX
First there will be new events which include 5 Star Power Ups in each month as well as 18 5 Star Scout Tickets and Move Candy Coins
From the end of December, the Stamina Recovery time will change from 1 point per 6 minutes to 1 point per 4 minutes
In late December, a Master Mode will be added to Champion Stadium. This mode features a way of getting more rewards by earning points which can be exchanged for items such as 5 Star Power Ups, Power Up Tickets and Move Candy Coins
A Legendary Event is being scheduled for February

Pokémon Augmented Reality Showcase
The Pokémon Company have announced a special collaboration that will be going forward in conjunction with the Kibo Space Module on the International Space Station. On December 31st 2020 at 23:45 JST, a stream will feature the first sunrise of 2021 as recorded from the International Space Station. Alongside this, a special Augmented Reality showcase will be shown utilising real-time images from the International Space Station and various Pokémon.
