Pokémon GO
The Hoenn Event in Pokémon GO has begun. From now until January 29th 2019 at 21:00 UTC, Hoenn Pokémon will spawn more in the wild with Shiny Zigzagoon and Shiny Taillow now being possible. In addition to this, Kyogre & Groudon will now start appearing in Raid Battles once again. There is also new event exclusive Field Research focusing on Hoenn Pokémon and Pokémon from Hoenn will now start appearing in 7km eggs. Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon - Battle Competition
Registration for the next Battle Competition have been announced. This is the Simple Symphony competition. This is a Single Battle competition using special rules where only Pokémon of a single type can be used, excluding Mythical Pokémon and various Legendary Pokémon. Mega Stones can also not be used on the Pokémon
Registration runs from January 15th through January 24th 2018. Battles will run from January 25th through January 27th. All entrants will get 50 BP A full list of Eligible Pokémon can be found on our Online Competition page

Pokkén Tournament - Championships
Details have been announced for the 2019 Pokkén Tournament DX Championship Series. As with last year, there are multiple qualifiers to earn a place in the Pokémon World Championships, as well as a last Chance Qualifier.
This runs in the Team Battle format meaning players have to use 3 different characters from Pokkén Tournament DX on the Nintendo Switch. It runs the standard Double Elimination brackets
The qualifiers are
Oceania International Championships - Melbourne, Australia - February 15–17, 2019
Europe International Championships Berlin, Germany - April 26 - 28, 2019
NorthAmerican International Championships
Last Chance Qualifier @ Worlds - Washington D.C. - 2019
Pokémon World Championships - Washington D.C. - 2019
The top 4 players at North American and European International Championships, and the top 2 at the Oceania International Championships will earn an invite. Prizes are as follows:
1st place: $1,250 and Worlds invitation
2nd place: $1,000 and Worlds invitation
3rd place: $750 and Worlds invitation*
4th place: $600 and Worlds invitation*
5th place tie: $450 each
7th place tie: $250 each
And from that, the winners at Pokémon World Championships are as follows
1st place: $6,000
2nd place: $4,000
3rd place: $3,000
4th place: $2,000
5th place tie: $1,500 each
7th place tie: $1,000 each
