Pokémon - Battle Competition
Battles for the next Battle Competition have begun. This is the Kanto Classic. This competition is a Single Battle competition and runs classic rules where you can only use the original 151 Pokémon aside from Mewtwo and Mew and you cannot use items on your Pokémon as well as only using 6 Pokémon. Battles run from March 4th through March 6th. All entrants get a special Dragonite
This Dragonite is based on Lance's Dragonite in Red/Green/Blue. It is Level 62 with the ability Inner Focus and the moves Agility, Slam, Barrier & Hyper Beam. Before now, it couldn't learn the move Barrier, despite Lance's Dragonite having that move in Red, Green and Blue

Pokémon X, Y, Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire - Special Battle Season 15
The Special Battle rules for Season 15 have been revealed. Season 15will run from March 15th 2016 to mid-May and runs on both X & Y and Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire. In this Special Battle ruleset, the VGC 2016 ruleset is being implemented once again, following Season 14 which first introduced it. This allows for players wishing to compete in Play! Pokémon events to be able to practice on the games.
The base rules for this season are as follows:
Battle type: Double Battle
Pokémon Restrictions: National Pokédex.
Pokémon Limits: Teams may have no more than two of the following Pokémon: Mewtwo, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Xerneas, Yveltal, and Zygarde.
Banned Pokémon: Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Deoxys, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin, Arceus, Victini, Keldeo, Meloetta, Genesect, Diancie, and Hoopa, Pokémon not captured or hatched in X, Y, Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire
The other standard rules apply, including reduced to Level 50 if above that, and you choose 4 Pokémon out of your 6, and you cannot have two Pokémon holding the same hold item.

Pokémon GO
It has been confirmed that Japanese field tests for Pokémon GO are to run in March. Recruitment has started on the official site but it is currently location locked to Japan. At a later point, new field tests will run in other countries to help give players the opportunity to test the game out. To sign up, you need a Google/Gmail e-mail address, as well as optionally a username in Niantic's other game, Ingress. Your phone also needs to either be an iPhone 5 or beyond or an Android phone on Android version 4.3 or higher. From this, players will be selected via a lottery and notified later if they are to be able to field test the game. We'll bring more, including field tests in other regions, as it comes
