The Three Tests?! Followed By…

Jungle Ruins:
Follow the spirals of stairs, and you will end up in an underground cave. To the north, you will see a statue of Entei, and there seems to be four pairs of holes in front of it. To your right, you will find the room to your first test, the Water Test. You must first make it across a bridge where several Gyaradoses will attack you with blasts of water. If you get hit, you fall to the lower basement, and must start the test again. Avoid all the attacks, and make to to the other end of the room. There, you must capture two Kingdras to complete this test. After you do so, a pair of blue flames will light up in front of Entei's statue.

Next, move north a bit, and you should find the room to your second test, the Destruction Test. There are various jewel stands here which can only be cleared by capturing the wild pokemon there. The Citrus Jewel can be destroyed by a Bagon or Seedot, the Rose one by a Geodude or Machop, the Marine one by Gligar, Meowth or Treecko, and finally, the Topaz one with a Shelgon. After clearing all obstacles, you will face a Salamence, which can be a big tough to capture since Plusle/Minun's paralyze won't do too much. Finish this test, and a pair of purple flames will light up in front of Entei's statue.

The room for the third test is to the west of the Entei statue. Enter the room and prepare for the Wind Challenge, where you must pass a winding road with alternating directions of strong winds. If you get blown off the path, you must start over again like in the Water Test. Flygon awaits at the end, and this should be easier than Salamence. Completing this test lights up a pair of green flames in front of the Entei statue.

At this point, you will unlock the fourth hidden test in this cave, and you must chase the Charizard around a bit before capturing it. After you do so, the final pair of red flames in front of the Entei statue will light up, and the statue becomes the real Entei, who will run off.

You and your fellow Ranger leave the Jungle Ruins, but a mighty tremor soon follows, and Aria arrives, blaming the two of you for breaking the seal at the Jungle Ruins and awakening the volcano underneath. Your next task promptly begins.

Protect the Jungle Ruins!

When you two head back down, you're terrified to see that lava washes over the whole place now. Wild fire pokemon now inhabit the area, and apparently Team Go-Go has grabbed the chance to cause trouble again. Team Go-Go members you must face include one with a Slugma and a Magcargo, one with 3 Slugmas, and one with a Mewth and Sneasel. In a cave close to the third test's room, there are Poliwhirls and Poliwraths inside. Getting a few may help you later on. At one point, you must capture a Rhydon to clear an obstacle in your path, and you will soon be confronted by the second youngest Team Go-Go admin, Youji, whose Slaking you must capture.

Finally, you reach the end of the room to find no other than Ragou standing next to Entei, and you realize that he is the boss of Team Go-Go. He has captured Entei and he uses it on you. Capturing Entei can be a bit tough because there will also be two Magmars. Pokemon assist with Poliwhirl or Poliwrath may help, as water is effective against fire.

Once you capture and free Entei, the volcano gets calmed, and Team Go-Go departs. Head back to the Ranger Base, and you will receive another message, telling you to head back to Fall City. Once you're there, Prof. Shinbara tells you that they have identified a factory operated by Team Go-Go, and you receive your seventh mission.

Mission 7: Factory Investigation!

Night Duty Factory:
You go on this mission with Prof. Shinbara, and this factory is to the far east from the fountain area. First, you must capture a Meowth to cut down the obstacle at the entrace. Inside, you face many Team Go-Go members, including one with 2 Voltorbs, one with 2 Mr. Mimes, one with a Slakoth, one with a Muk and 2 Beldums, one with a Machoke and 2 Machops, one with 8 Rattattas, as well as one with an Ariados and Crobat.

Your task here is to shut down the factory, and you will find rooms where Pikachus or a Raichu is held captive in a cage. For the Pikachus, capture a Pinsir to break the cage. For Raichu, you must seek help from a Scyther however. Along your path, there is an obstruction that must be cleared by a Houndoom, and one of the rooms will start being inhabited by Gastlys after you shut down the electricity. Beware that Gastlys can suck away your recruited pokemon if you stall too long.

At the end of this mission, you fight the third Team Go-Go admin, Yuuki, who challenges you with a Scizor. Capture it, and your mission is complete. Head back to the Ranger Base to up your rank to 8, and enable Ice type pokemon assist, the final one. Next, take the Dragonite Bus or Lapras to Summer Land again.

Summer Land:
Upon arrival, Kamuri tells you that one of the residents has a gift for you, and is constucting a vessel called Mogul for you. But first, you must help him retrieve the machinery parts from the Olive Jungle. So Olive Jungle you go.

Retrieve The Mogul Vessel's Machinery Parts!

You venture into Olive Jungle like before, but instead of heading the direction of the Jungle Ruins, you head west, where there are many bug pokemon. The problem lies here though, the mechanic travelling with you has a major phobia for bugs, so you must avoid touching any bug pokemon on your way. If you do, you must start from the jungle entrace again. This can be quite annoying after a while, but once you get to the very end of the jungle, you will arrive at a pond where a Gyarados is rampaging. Capture it along with 4 Magikarps, and you can retrieve the machinery parts.

Return to the Ranger Base, and Kamuri will bestow you your eighth mission to the Panulla Cave linking Summer Land and the northern Wint Town. The mechanic will tell you that the Mogul Vessel is ready, and you head south to embark on it. It will take you underwater for a bit, and you will resurface at the entrace of a cave, the Panulla Cave.

Mission 8: Travelling On The Mogul Vessel

Panulla Cave:
Upon arrival, Kamuri will message you and tell you trail after a Wint Town Ranger named Kres. Enter the Panulla Cave, which is inhabited by many ice pokemon, in addition to many Golbats. As you venture along, you will soon find a giant Steelix blocking your way. Get a Poliwrath to awaken it, and it will move away. Soon, you meet the Wint Town Leader Erida together with Kres, but it appears that the Steelix you woke up is causing trouble in the cave. While Erida and Kres head off to deal with it, you must retrieve a Swinub from a cliff side to return it to its angry family of Piloswines. Climb up the cliff to drop down in the appropriate holes and you will end up on the cliff side of Swinub.

After you have calmed the Piloswines, keep venturing on, and you will soon be confronted by the rampaing Steelix. This is possible one of the most difficult captures you've encountered so far, because simply colliding with Steelix will decrease your Styler's HP. There should be Medichams scattered in the cave, and their Fighting pokemon assist is especially useful as it halves the number of circles needed to capture Steelix. An easy way to do so will be to first paralyze Steelix with Plusle/Minun, then use Medicham's Fighting type pokemon assist. It is important to paralyze Steelix when it's in a coiled position, otherwise, it's just gonna make things more difficult.

After you capture Steelix, Erida and Kres will reappear and you head to Wint Town via the North Road. An animation will reveal that the Steelix was in control by no other than Team Go-Go.

Wint Town:
Upon arrival at the Ranger Base, your rank will be upped to 9, and Erida will give you your ninth mission, which is crack down the headquarters of Team Go-Go in the Cycla Mountain Range.
