Quagsire, The Water Fish Pokémon. It has an easygoing nature. It doesn't care if it bumps its head on boats and boulders while swimming. Its body is always slimy. It often bangs its head on the river bottom as it swims but seems not to care.
Overview
One of the derpiest Pokemon, Quagsire is an interesting Pokemon as it has incredible typing in Water/Ground but lacks a base stat over 90 other than health. This would normally mean that Quagsire lacks the ability to punch into the higher tiers in Singles but with access to one of the most fitting abilities in Unaware, Quagsire is an excellent anti sweeper measure, albeit a touch outclassed these days with Clefable and Toxapex. Regardless, Quagsire still manages to do the same thing it's always done without much change, shut down setup sweepers that lack the means to break through its great typing.
Positives
Unaware makes Quagsire useful in 9 out of 10 games as nearly every team uses a boosting sweeper.
Good typing helps Quagsire get in easier and stay in, with few weaknesses to exploit it.
Access to Scald lets Quagsire pressure physical attackers and makes it easier to wall these threats as they are hinderd if burned.
Negatives
Quagsire lacks defensive stats to be an unbreakable wall, making it ease to wear down with choiced hits and raw high power.
While its typing is great, the quad weakness to Grass makes it so Quagsire will fall if brushed by a stray leaf.
Without a way to remove it, Toxic just ruins Quagsire so it almost always wants teammates that can remove status.
Abilities
Unaware - Ignores status changes from the opponent- Basically if someone is boosting, just switch in Quagsire and it's the same as if they never did. This works in reverse, however, and ignores negative drops from moves like Draco Meteor and Superpower.
Damp - Prevents Self-Destruct, Explosion, and Aftermath - Not good anymore since the Explosion nerf, only real use for this is preventing a shiny from exploding in casual play.
Water Absorb - Negates water attacks and heals for ź maximum health - A good option but usually Unaware is better for Quagsire to stand out with its middling stats. Water Absorb is still a fun option to experiment with though.

Relaxed Nature
Scald is a staple on any defensive Water type since it has good PP, power, and the chance to burn all in one move. Earthquake is just a nice STAB option to hit threats that resist Scald. Toxic is a nice option to hit walls hard as well as wear down sweepers fast that burns aren't as great on, especially after the nerf to burn damage. Finally Recover allows Quagsire to stay around while wearing down walls or sponging hits, which is definitely needs to shrug off some of the nastier hits around.
Most boosting sweepers tend to be physical attackers, so Relaxed nature with physical defense investment is the best use of Quagsire's stats. This also makes sure that it isn't reducing the damage of either attacking move unnecessarily, since Quagsire doesn't really need its Speed much. Unaware is a staple on Quagsire, and Leftovers are also necessary to keep Quagsire's health in good shape.
Partners
Arcanine - With access to Intimidate and Will-O-Wisp, Arcanine can be a nice Fire-type pivot to pair with Quagsire for Grass-type threats, while Quagsire can pivot into Rock types that threaten Arcanine.
Cut Rotom - A potent Grass-type, Cut Rotom can pivot into Grass-type and Water-type threats that Quagsire can struggle with. Cut Rotom can also provide some momentum with Volt Switch for a more fast paced team that wants Quagsire's support.
Countering Quagsire
Grass coverage - Being quad weak to Grass moves most coverage options can easily take care of Quagsire, especially with its low base defenses. This can make surprise Grass-type coverage from Pokemon that don't normally use these moves even more dangerous.
Cut Rotom - Resisting Scald and being immune to Earthquake, Cut Rotom can come in pretty easily on Quagsire and threaten with Leaf Storm, or Trick if its a choiced set.
Wallbreaker - A Choice Band or Choice Specs equipped Pokemon can break Quagsire's middling stats quite easily since Unaware doesn't ignore these boosts. Its low speed means it can be easily 2hkoed by powerful Pokemon such as Haxorus, Keldeo, or Dracovish.
