Azumarill

Azumarill, The Rabbit Pokémon. It spends most of its time in the water. On sunny days, Azumarill floats on the surface of the water and sunbathes. These Pokémon create air-filled bubbles. When Azurill play in rivers, Azumarill will cover them with these bubbles.

Overview

Azumarill is a superb offensive powerhouse thanks to its incredible ability Huge Power which doubles its Attack stat giving it the equivalent of a base 150 Attack allowing it to either wallbreak the opposing team or sweep with Belly Drum. Its fantastic Water/Fairy typing grants it a good amount of resistances and provides it with a solid STAB combination. Access to Aqua Jet also grants Azumarill a solid priority STAB that allows it to hit hard and bypass its meddling speed. Azumarill is an incredible Pokemon capable of dismantling teams with the right tools. However, Azumarill also has some glaring flaws. Faster Grass and Electric types like Venusaur and Rotom-Wash makes it impossible for Azumarill to OHKO even at +6 meaning that it will certainly get OHKO'd in return. Azumarill is also unable to bypass Toxapex and Amoonguss unless it has a Belly Drum boost which makes it hard to accomplish a sweep. However, with the right support, Azumarill can bypass those hurdles and become a huge menace for most teams.
Positives
Huge Power is the sole reason you should be using Azumarill in the first place. It's ability to double Azumarill's Attack stat is what makes it such a fearsome wallbreaker and sweeper alongside its offensive STABs and coverage moves.
Base 100/80/80 bulk makes it pretty bulky allowing Azumarill to switch multiple times and take advantage of its solid resistances to Bug, Ice, Dark, Fire, Fight, Water and an immunity to Dragon.
Coverage wise it gets access to Belly Drum which allows it to become a weapon of mass destruction and it gets what it needs with Knock Off and Ice Punch.

Negatives
Despite having access to STAB Aqua Jet, it's crippling base 50 Speed makes it terribly slow and when it is forced to use its other moves, it is prone to get hit first and worn down due to its lack of recovery.
Faster Grass types such as Rillaboom, Kartana and Venusaur can even tank a +6 Aqua Jet and will easily revenge kill Azumarill.
Without Belly Drum or a boost, Azumarill is unable to break through dedicated walls such as Celesteela or Toxapex.
It's heavily hinderd by faster Will-o-Wisp users like Rotom-Wash who can burn it quite easily and prevent it from sweeping the opponent's team.

Movesets

BLUE BOMB

-- Aqua Jet
- Play Rough
- Liquidation
- Knock Off / Ice Punch
Item Attached: Choice Band
Ability: Huge Power
EVs and Nature:
252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spe
Adamant Nature

Choice Band combined with Huge Power will allow Azumarill to hit hard right from the bat while posing a serious offensive threat thanks to its decent bulk and handful of resistances to find opportunities to switch into the opponent. Aqua Jet is Azumarill's most important move giving it a priority attack that allows it to bypass its low Speed and revenge kill threats such as Volcarona or Charizard, while picking up on weakened foes. Play Rough is Azumarill's main STAB allowing it to hit extremely hard against most neutral targets and KO-ing Pokemon like Keldeo or Garchomp. Liquidation is a move that provides another STAB and allows Azumarill to hit harder than what Aqua Jet would do while providing a nice 20% chance to lower the opponent's defense. The last move is mostly a toss-up: Knock Off is the most consistent coverage move to use allowing Azumarill to provide utility by removing its switch-in's items while providing the best neutral coverage against opponents such as Toxapex and Amoonguss. On the other hand, Ice Punch allows Azumarill to 2HKO Amoonguss at the expense of being walled by Toxapex.

DYNAMAX:
Normally, you will want to reserve your Dynamax for another sweeper considering that CB Azumarill's main role is to wallbreak and provide utility with Knock Off. Depending on the situation it could merit the use of Dynamax on this set to avoid the lock effect of a Choice Band in case it is needed. Max Starfall provides immunity to status ailments which is something that Azumarill doesn't appreciates due to the lack of recovery.

EVs and Items:
Max HP and Attack allows Azumarill to be as bulky as possible while hitting like a truck. The rest is invested to creep opposing Azumarills. A Choice Band is what allows Azumarill to hit as hard as possible boosting its already impressive Attack thanks to its Huge Power ability.

Partners:
Azumarill appreciates partners like Dugtrio who can trap Toxapex and destroy it as otherwise it will be walled by it. Because Azumarill has no way to recover itself, it appreciates pivoting from slower Pokemon such as Slowbro, Clefable, Rillaboom and Landorus-Therian to prevent it from racking up damage and immediately threaten the opponent. Landorus-Therian deserves a mention due to its ability to threaten Poison types and Electric types that Azumarill struggles with. Dragonite is a great partner as it can take advantage of Azumarill's wallbreaking abilities and set up a Dragon Dance while threatening Grass types such as Amoonguss, Rillaboom or Tangrowth thanks to Dual Wingbeat. On a similar fashion, Cinderace provides hazard removal, while pivoting Azumarill safely with U-turn and threatens Grass types.

BAD BUNNY

- Aqua Jet
- Play Rough
- Belly Drum
- Knock Off
Item Attached: Sitrus Berry
Ability: Huge Power
EVs and Nature:
4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature

Belly Drum strikes a huge fear on any opponent once Azumarill gets a chance to set up accordingly and it will proceed to sweep unprepared teams for its onslaught. A +6 Aqua Jet will KO almost anything that doesn't resist it, so it is very hard for anything to revenge kill Azumarill. Play Rough becomes massively powerful, specially once Azumarill gains a boost from Belly Drum and it will easily crush anything not resistant to its power, including a full physically defensive Tangrowth. Knock Off provides the best middleground on this case allowing Azumarill to provide some utility on removing items while OHKO-ing defensive threats such as Amoonguss, Celesteela and Toxapex (the latter after Stealth Rock damage).

DYNAMAX:
You should not consider Dynamaxing Azumarill due to the fact that once it is triggered, Azumarill will miss out on its biggest weapon in Aqua Jet and it will not be able to use its priority effects preventing it from being revenge killed by faster threats. Azumarill is already bulky enough to tank some hits and the extra bulk is not worth the loss of its priority Aqua Jet for three turns.

EVs and Items:
Max Attack and Speed allows Azumarill to hit as hard as possible and outspeed threats such as Clefable, Corviknight and defensive Magearna. You can also consider adding more HP on this set to increase its overall bulk, however, Azumarill will need 244 Speed as a minimum to outpace 0 Speed base 80s. If you're fine with going lower, make sure to drop the Speed appropriately and hit a benchmark that suits your needs. A Sitrus Berry allows Azumarill to recover a decent amount of HP after using Belly Drum allowing it to remain with a solid amount of HP before beginning its sweep.

Partners:
Azumarill appreciates partners that can allow it to pivot it safely without taking as much damage as possible. Cinerace is a great partner as it provides hazard removal with Court Change and it can also pivot Azumarill safely thanks to U-turn. It's STAB Pyro Ball threatens greatly Pokemon like Amoonguss or Azumarill. Rillaboom deserves a mention since its Grassy Terrain provides Azumarill with a decent passive recovery and it also gains access to U-turn allowing it to switch safely. Azumarill also appreciates Veil support from Ninetales allowing it to set up much more easily. Hazard setters such as Ferrothorn or Landorus-Therian provide hazard support which is crucial for Azumarill to sweep the opponent.

Other Options

An Assault Vest is an item slot worth taking into consideration to take much better on Pokemon such as Latios or Galarian Moltres. However, take into account that it will limit Azumarill severely as an utility Pokemon and does not offer the same damage output a CB set can do.
Azumarill can also use a trapping set with Whirlpool and Perish Song for the sake of memes but it is extremely gimmicky and it will not work against more experienced opponents.

Countering Azumarill

Toxapex is arguably one of Azumarill's best checks as it can pretty much switch into it even after having its item removed and overall provides an opportunity to set up Toxic Spikes. However, if Azumarill runs Belly Drum, it will get overwhelmed.

Faster Grass types like Rillabom, Kartana and Venusaur who have decent bulk, cannot be OHKO'd even with a +6 Belly Drum and they can easily OHKO Azumarill with their STABs. It's worth mentioning that due to Rillaboom's higher Speed, Grassy Glide will always hit first before Aqua Jet allowing it to check it efficiently.

While Zapdos can't really take most of its attacks pretty well, thanks to Static, it can potentially hinder any set if it triggers paralysis allowing it to revenge kill it more easily.
