Unown, The Symbol Pokémon. Its flat, thin body is always stuck on walls. Its shape appears to have some meaning. It is shaped like ancient text characters. Although research is ongoing, it is a mystery as to which came first, the ancient writings or the various Unown. It is a huge mystery whether language or UNOWN came first. They seem to communicate among each other telepathically. When alone, nothing happens. However, if there are two or more, an odd power is said to emerge.
Overview
For a letter, I guess Unown is pretty tough. In every other aspect, it isn't tough. It isn't cool, it isn't strong, it isn't anything positive. If you are using Unown, you forgot about every single other Pokémon.
Ability
Levitate: your only option for an ability, and it isn't that bad. At least Unown can switch into something without dying now.

Item Attached: Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
EVs and Nature:
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
Ok, I'll at least try to bulk this out. Hidden Power [Psychic] is a base 70 STAB attack, making it Unown's best option for an attack. Coming off of 400 Special Attack, it might actually dent something. Perhaps. However, Hidden Power [Fighting] can be used to decimate any Normal, Rock, Steel, and Dark types that come to try and stop Unown's… sweep… Hidden Power [Ice] gets a mention as it can actually deal good damage to Dragon/Flying Pokémon. That is all, really. In the other slots, you will probably want to go with… yeah…
EVs and Nature:
One set to rule them all
Unown is slow. Disgustingly slow. Slower than a ladybird. My God, it is slower than a fossil. If you want to bulk it out for whatever reason, go for it, the Speed loss won't be that significant, but neither will the HP gain.
Other Options
Choice Scarf
Choice Scarf is in other options rather than the initial set because I wanted something to put in this section… if you want Unown to be… a little quicker… it is an option. But why be fast when you hit like a cobweb descending onto a person's head… when they are wearing a hat?
Countering Unown
Ok, counters to Unown. For starters, check The Pokédex. If a Pokémon's name is in that online Pokédex, it can beat Unown. However, switching in is a different story… take Croagunk and Toxicroak from the list and… you pretty much have it. Generic stuff like Chansey, Hypno, Registeel, and similar Special Sponges. But really, why would you worry about countering Unown? You take more damage from Stealth Rock than you do this pathetic piece of letter-shaped trash. It is like a remote control helicopter, or a gnat. It might leave a small scratch or a bite mark if you let it… scratch or bite you at all, but you can obliterate it with a swift movement of your hand, face, foot, anything. All in all, everything beats Unown. If you are worried about Unown, make sure you remember that nobody would seriously play with this thing, so you will never come face to face with its viciousness and… yeah…

Animé Appearences
Unown has had a fair few Animé Appearences. Most have swarms of Unowns in. First, Unown changed Johto to Molly Hale's dream world. After that, Ash & Co. found an injured one. Long after that, they were in Solaceon Ruins and assisted in stopping Team Galactic.
