White Kyurem, The Boundary Pokémon. It generates a powerful, freezing energy inside itself, but its body became frozen when the energy leaked out. It can produce ultracold air. Its body is frozen. This legendary ice Pokémon waits for a hero to fill in the missing parts of its body with truth or ideals.. Overview When Kyurem was first revealed, people were a bit disappointed as its stats were a bit lackluster. However, with Pokémon Black 2 & White 2, new forms were introduced that not only make Kyurem viable, but make Kyurem have the second highest base stat total in the entire game, right after Arceus. This is done through a process known as Absofusion which has it merge with Zekrom using the DNA Splicers. White Kyurem, referred to as Kyurem-W in competitive circles, is a special powerhouse. As it has a Special focus, it is FAR more useful in battle due to Kyurem's much much larger special movepool. As such, if you have a choice, you should almost certainly use it over Kyurem-B. Abilities Turboblaze: Much better than Kyurem's original ability of Pressure, this ability is essentially Mold Breaker with a fancy name and it nullifies many abilities from having their effects. This includes Levitate and even Flash Fire, which can be handy with Kyurem-W's extended movepool Movesets The Goggles...they do nothing! - Draco Meteor This set is based on the idea that you are going to be hitting as a massive Special sweeper. The set gives great coverage with Fusion Flare bringing Fire-type, Earth Power bringing Ground-type, which will work through Levitate, Focus Blast being Fighting and Draco Meteor being a very powerful Dragon move, though it will hinder Kyurem-W with each use. Ice Beam can destroy nearly every threat due to STAB. Light Stone? Pah, give me an orb any day - Draco Meteor This set can do almost s much destruction as the Choice Specs, just without locking you into a move. It has fantastic coverage allowing you to hit nearly every Kyurem-W counter imaginable with the option to recover using Roost or stall using Substitute. This set can arguably be the most common set for Kyurem-W It's rather chilly here, I could use a scarf - Draco Meteor This set runs identical to the others, with Choice Scarf locking you in to get an increased Speed. This allows you to outspeed most of the counters to Kyurem-W and do significant damage. Outrage is listed as a Physical option to hit any Pokémon with high Special Defense.. Other Options Dragon Pulse, Freeze Burn, Power Herb, Substitute, Roost, Icy Wind. Not that much. Partners Kyurem-W needs Rapid Spin support. Even when merging with Reshiram, it still keeps it's Ice/Dragon typing, so it really needs to not switch into Stealth Rocks a bunch of times. Other than that, Kyurem-W can really fend for itself, since it is so powerful. Fighting-Types can help with Chansey, even though Kyurem-W can almost 2HKO it anyways. Entry Hazard users like Forretress or Ferrothorn help break down walls or Focus Sash users with more ease. More bulky Arceuses help against Scarf users, which try and prey upon Kyurem-W. Dialga can help get rid of rain, since Kyorge can't do much to Dialga. Other than that, Kyurem-W is a one-man army. Countering White Kyurem Countering Kyurem-W requires patience, predictions, and being generally smart with your Pokemon. Even walls like Chansey are almost 2HKOed by Kyurem-W. The best way of dealing with Kyurem-W is by revenge killing it. Faster Choice Scarf users, like Palkia, Salamence, Terrakion, Garchomp, ect. Focus Sash users like Deoxys-A can live a hit and majorly hurt Kyurem-W. Priority users like Scizor and Arceus Normal can do massive damage with their prioirty moves, but if they don't kill Kyurem-W, they will die afterwards. Rain is a good way to knock Kyurem-W down a few notches. Swift Swim users like Kingdra, or Kabutops, can outspeed and kill Kyurem-W. A more passive way of dealing with Kyurem-W is getting Stealth Rock up ASAP. If you can scare it out enough times, Stealth Rock will have it's tole. You do have to be wary of Roost when using Stealth Rock. Kyurem-W is really a hard Pokemon to check, let alone counter.
