Reshiram, The Vast White Pokémon. This Pokémon appears in legends. It sends flames into the air from its tail, burning up everything around it. When Reshiram's tail flares, the heat energy moves the atmosphere and changes the world's weather. Overview Reshiram is the cover star of Pokémon Black and the only Dragon/Fire Pokémon in existence. Like most legendaries of recent generations, it is fairly slow with base 90 Speed, but it makes up for that in pure power. Dragon/Fire is nearly unresisted, and Reshiram gets crazy good moves and STAB on both types. Actually, now I think about it, because of its ability Turboblaze (a glorified Mold Breaker), Dragon/Fire is completely unresisted, as the only Pokémon that would resist it would be Heatran with Flash Fire. It can also abuse Groudon's Drought ability really well and more or less makes you a stupidly strong powerhouse. Reshiram's design is pretty nice. It looks nice and elegant. Its other stats are good too. It has a good Attack stat, although you'd only use that for a mix or surprise set... it is generally bulky too; 100/100/120 are pretty good stats for a primarily offensive Pokémon! Abilities Turboblaze: As I've said, it is a glorified Mold Breaker. Not that it is bad, but it basically is Mold Breaker. It ignores abilities that would hinder or stop your attacks from working, which is mostly useful for Flash Fire Heatran. Speciram - Blue Flare POWER! Blue Flare is a Reshiram exclusive move. It has 130 power, 85 accuracy and a 20% chance to burn. It's amazing. Draco Meteor is also beast. 140 base power, 90 accuracy, but lowers Special Attack by 2 stages after each use... so switch out after you use it. Fusion Flare is your reliable attack as it has good power and 100 accuracy. However, if you'd rather have more than 5 (or 8) PP and a chance to burn, run Flamethrower. It is only a little weaker. Dragon Pulse is your reliable Dragon attack. Focus Blast helps deal good damage to Blissey and Chansey, but especially to Tyranitar. Flame Charge - Flame Charge Raise that subpar Speed with Flame Charge. Nitro Charge was a much cooler name, but whatever. Although weak, Flame Charge boosts your Speed by 1 stage, which is very important considering this set is supposed to sweep. Blue Flare is amazing, better than Fire Blast, best Fire attack in the game, etc. Dragon Pulse is your Dragon attack if you are running a purely special set. Draco Meteor is better on the mixed set as you can still sweep with Outrage. Focus Blast provides coverage against Normals and Tyranitar. Outrage allows you to massacre standard special walls. Dual Screens - Reflect Not too effective as it has a fairly low Speed, but its power means a lot of Pokémon will be retreating, giving it time to set up its screens. Reflect doubles Defence, Light Screen doubles Special Defence. Blue Flare is your best move. Draco Meteor hits hard but means you have to switch, but you'll be switching around anyway. Dragon Pulse is reliable and fairly strong. Outrage is to mix it up and hit Blissey, Chansey, Kyogre and Tyranitar hard. EVs & Natures Reshiram Other Options Physical, AncientPower, Dragon Tail, Imprison, Overheat, Psychic, Shadow Ball, Substitute, Will-O-Wisp Double & Triple Battle Options The most obvious option is Fusion Bolt. If either move is used after the other, they double in power. Yeah, the second move gets 300 base power counting STAB. That is ridiculous. However, only Zekrom and Victini (and Smeargle I guess) get Fusion Bolt. Running Reshiram alongside Groudon is sort of awesome due to infinite sun. Sadly, Reshiram doesn't get many multi targeting moves, and is weak to Earthquake and Rock Slide. It can be effective, but it isn't the best Pokémon to be running in doubles/triples. Partners GROUDON. Or Ninetales... I guess. But DROUGHT. Drought basically makes Reshiram unstoppable. Nothing can take a Blue Flare once sun is out. Having a reliable way of removing Kyogre is pretty vital, as otherwise you lose out on sun. Rayquaza is in a similar boat. Same as Tyranitar. Not that they can switch into anything but Fire attacks safely, but still. Take out Stealth Rock and Spikes as soon as they are set up, as Reshiram takes 25% from Stealth Rock. Make sure to run a Steel so you can resist Dragon attacks from Scarf Dragons. Also, Wobbuffet works really well as it can trap Scarf Palkia and Scarf Garchomp and kill them with CounterCoat. Countering Reshiram Countering something that has no counters... hm. Well, looks like I'm done here!
