Beheeyem, The Cerebral Pokémon. It can manipulate an opponent's memory. Apparently, it communicates by flashing its three different-colored fingers. It uses psychic power to control an opponent's brain and tamper with its memories. Overview Beheeyem is a pretty cool dude. I have no idea what it is supposed to be, but whatever it is works. It is slow as hell, but has a monstrous Special Attack. Basically, this thing was made for Trick Room, which it can set up itself. It also has a new ability; Analytic. If you go last, the attack it uses is stronger. Again, this works perfectly with its low Speed, as at absolute minimum Speed, you draw with neutral Speed Ferrothorn. It also works as a great support Pokémon in doubles and triples thanks to Telepathy and a bunch of useful moves like Simple Beam. It's a really interesting Pokémon that doesn't see much use thanks to Espeon gaining Magic Bounce and Alakazam gaining Magic Guard. That being said, it can be a complete powerhouse when used properly. Abilities Telepathy: This is the ability to use when you're using it in doubles and triples. It protects you from your other Pokémon's multi hitting attacks like Surf and Earthquake. Really useful. Tricky Sweeper - Trick Room A Trick Room sweeper that supports itself? Impossible! Well, this is what Beheeyem does. Trick Room allows slow Pokémon to go first, and as Beheeyem is one of the slowest, that's crazy useful. Nasty Plot doubles your Special Attack allowing you to sweep. Calm Mind doesn't boost your Special Attack as much as Nasty Plot, but makes you bulkier. Psychic can lower the opponent's Special Defence which is nice, and is slightly stronger than the alternative Psyshock, but Psyshock targets the opponent's Defence stat whilst using your Special Attack, allowing you to beat Blissey. The final move is a toss up. Thunderbolt is the strongest alternative. Shadow Ball hits other Psychic Pokémon hard. Energy Ball hits Tyranitar and what not hard, but not as hard as Hidden Power [Fighting]. All of these options are worth considering, and could make all the difference to a successful sweep. Obligatory Specs Set - Psychic / Psyshock Analytic+Choice Specs+125 base Satk=awesome. Psychic is a little stronger than Psyshock, but most things switching into Beheeyem will be designed to take special attacks, so Psyshock will hit them harder. The other moves are Beheeyem's other options. Thunderbolt is a great move, both strong and reliable. Shadow Ball hits other Psychics and deals nice damage to Ghosts. Energy Ball hits Swampert, Hippowdon, and other bulky Waters and bulky Grounds hard. Hidden Power [Fighting] really hurts Tyranitar and Ferrothorn. The Defensive Approach - Calm Mind 354 HP and 273 Defence is nothing to joke about. It's pretty good. Calm Mind boosts your Special Attack and Special Defence, which is why neither have any investment. Recover keeps you healthy by restoring at least 50% whenever you use it. Psychic and Psyshock are your STAB options, both of which have their own merits. The final slot is down to its other four options. Thunderbolt is nice, Energy Ball is nice, Shadow Ball takes on Latias, Latios and other Psychics. Hidden Power [Fighting] breaks down Tyranitar. BeScreenYem - Reflect Dual screens is always an effective strategy, and Beheeyem is getting in on the action. Reflect and Light Screen effectively double your defences for 8 turns, which is amazing. Recover keeps you health, allowing you to set them up again. Psychic and Psyshock stop you being Taunt bait, whereas Toxic works with the defensive nature of the set. 354/249/249 (HP/Def/SDef) is pretty great, and it maintains a nice Special Attack. EVs & Natures Every straight out offensive set The Defensive Approach BeScreenYem Other Options Ally Switch, Charge Beam, Guard Swap, Heal Block, Hidden Power [Fire], Hidden Power [Ice], Power Swap, Psych Up, Safeguard, Simple Beam, Substitute, Thunder Wave Double & Triple Battle Options Beheeyem is a great multiple Pokémon supporter. It gets Simple Beam, which if you combine with something that uses Shell Smash or Quiver Dance, is a huge, huge stat gain. It also has Telepathy, meaning no fear when using Earthquake, Lava Plume, Discharge, and Surf. It can set up Trick Room, which is a very popular doubles strategy. Double screens and Imprison is always a nice combo. Like... every single Pokémon in the game, Beheeyem has access to Protect. It just has a lot of support options available to it, which is how you should be using Beheeyem if you run it in a multiple Pokémon environment. Partners What is the main Psychic counter? Tyranitar! Find a way to counter it if you are running Beheeyem. Hidden Power [Fighting] helps with it, but it by no means allows you to beat it one on one. Conkeldurr, Breloom, Lucario, something that can switch in and beat it is ideal. Standard special walls like Blissey and Chansey beat you, but Psyshock really hurts them. Just run a Fighting type and you can lay them out. Toxic Spikes is a good partner as it means Beheeyem is harder to counter and everything takes more damage. Entry hazards in general are useful. In terms of doubles and triples partners, you want stuff that can use Simple amazingly. Shell Smash users like Cloyster, Carracosta, and Crustle work well as they get +4 Attack, Special Attack and Speed. Quiver Dance users such as Volcrana and Venomoth get +2 Special Attack, Special Defence and Speed, which is really nice. Combine that with Psych Up and you have two powerhouse attackers. Running something to take down opposing Psychic Pokémon is also handy. I wouldn't suggest Tyranitar though, as sandstorm will hurt you. Scizor or something is fine. Pokémon with Justified allow you to benefit from Beheeyem being forced out by a Dark type. Magnezone also does well as it can trap the Steels that would wall you completely. Countering Beheeyem Tyranitar can switch in, outspeed you and murder you with Pursuit or Crunch. It has to be careful of Hidden Power [Fighting], but it's still going to win. Metagross, Jirachi and Bronzong all resist your STAB attack x4, meaning you can't do anything to them. Thunderbolt, Shadow Ball and Hidden Power are the only attacks that will dent them, and by the time you have them weak enough to beat them, you'd have fainted four turns ago. Taunt completely ruins most Beheeyem sets, except for an already set up Trick Room sweeper and a Specs Beheeyem. Generic special wall sentence here. Just be careful of Psyshock. Other Dark Pokémon worth mentioning are Sableye, Spiritomb... well, any Dark type really. Immune to Psychic and ruin Beheeyem with STAB Dark moves. Other Steels like Forretress, Ferrothorn, Escavalier, and Scizor all beat Beheeyem one on one without Hidden Power [Fire]. Basically, you want to resist or be completely immune to Psychic attacks. If you have that, you're golden. However, watch out for Beheeyem... yeah, it's an inferior Reuniclus, we all get that, but it has a few options the cell doesn't. Nasty Plot and Analytic allow it to do more damage in a shorter amount of time. Basically, Beheeyem is the lower tier Reuniclus, that also happens to be better in multi-Pokémon battles than it. Don't underestimate it, because you will get hurt. Enter Elgyem. Basically, it can run any set Beheeyem runs, just with Eviolite. However, Elgyem can do surprisingly well in Little Cup. It has Analytic and Nasty Plot, which gives it some options over Abra and what not. Take your pick from the sets, but considering how offensive and fast Little Cup is, the Trick Room sweeper is probably the best choice. It has alright bulk and nice Special Attack. Give it a try. I wouldn't suggest it outside of Little Cup though.
