Pokémon HOME Medals

In April 2025, a new feature was introduced called Medals. Medals are a seperate element of the app where you can collect Medals through a vartiety of means and share them with your friends.

Medals run off the same structure as Pokémon in the app, with you able to store 30 Medals on the Basic Plan and up to 1000 on the Premium Plan.

To get medals, you need to achieve certain tasks, but you can also get them in the real world through use of the Local Event feature or using NFC where medals are being given out..

For each medal, you get a unique ID number based on the medal and language, so each medal you receive is unique.

In addition to you collecting medals yourself, you have the ability to share Medals with your friends. This can be done in two different ways.

First off is by trading. With the trade feature, you can trade a medal with a friend for another medal. This is done in a similar manner to trading Pokémon. In addition to that, you can also gift medals to friends.

As the medals move around, they have a chronicle of each trade and gift that it has had so the longer the trade history, the bigger its record.
