During Day 1 of the World Championships, a new mode was officially revealed for Pokémon UNITE. This mode has teams face up against eachother to get to 500 Points first, with new Aeos Technology that can be used to provide various boosts as you reach certain point thresholds

During the Closing Ceremony of the World Championships, the next three playable characters were officially revealed for Pokémon UNITE. Armarouge was revealed for September 12th, Darkrai for October and Psyduck for November

During the Closing Ceremony of the World Championships, a new mechanic of a Pokémon that changes form in battle was revealed. This was Morpeko which is to come to Pokémon GO soon. Alongside this, another tease was given for the imminent release of the Dynamax feature into the game

During the Closing Ceremony of the World Championships, a new trailer was released for the mobile game, Pokémon TCG Pocket, which showcased more of the gameplay and cards, as well as revealing pre-orders were open and the game was to release on October 30th 2024

During the Closing Ceremony of the World Championships, the return of Trainer's/Owner's Pokémon into the Pokémon TCG was announced. This showcased an animated trailer that revealed Lillie's Clefairy ex, Marnie's Grimmsnarl ex, N's Zoroark ex and N's Reshiram including an Illustration Rare. These are due to release in 2025, alongside a tease for a new Team Rocket set

This distribution was given to players who attended the Pokémon World Championships in Honolulu and offered a code to redeem for a Steenee based on the Steenee seen in the key art for the championships

Hyper Voice Tera Blast Hyper Beam Sleep Talk

This distribution was given to players on the online stream for the TCG Championship and gave players a Pecharunt ex Special Illustraton Rare through the code

This special event was held in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet with focuses on Pokémon from the key art, allowing players at home to join in and catch Pokémon tied to the World Championships

Gimmighoul Chest Form is available in Raid Battles, with its Shiny being available once again
In mass Outbreaks, you will find Wattrel in Paldea, Riolu in Kitakami and Comfey in the Terarium

This event runs over the two weeks from August 9th through 22nd 2024

To celebrate the World Championships, a special TCG Promo card was released featuring Pikachu battling Mew in a Honolulu backdrop with the Worlds logo on it. This promo card was available at participating stores worldwide as well as Pokémon Centers from August 2nd through 18th. Local leagues were also given the promo card if they were hosting a Worlds Celebration event in the week of the World Championships

There are two special T-Shirts that were given away at the Pokémon World Championships.

The first, the white Worlds Tee was given away through a special code on the Twitch Stream and on the Social Media platforms with a code
The second, the blue Worlds Participant Tee, was available by completing the Pokémon GO Scavenger Hunt at the World Championships itself

With in the Pokémon GO World Championships stream on Twitch, if you had the stream active, you would be able to get rewards and this reward included Timed Research based on various Pokémon used in GO Battle League such as Sableye

To celebrate the World Championships, a special Event pass went live in Pokémon UNITE that allowed players to earn the Jerseys used by respective teams in the Pokémon 2024 World Championships

At the Hilton Hawaiian Village beach, a special drone show will be held at 8pm each day on August 15th, 17th and 18th showcasing Pikachu and various other Pokémon

There will be a special museum display of various Pokémon World Championships history including past Worlds merchandise and items iconic decks and old Pokémon video games and consoles, among other items

As a celebration of the Pokémon TCG Illustration Contest, the Top 100 entries for the contest will all be displayed in a special gallery in Honolulu to coincide with the World Championships

In the third floor of the convention center, you will be able to get a hands-on with the coming game, Pokémon TCG Pocket

On the third floor, a special area can be found which allows for players to go and collect and trade various Pokémon cards and other items, as well as having various Local Stores on site with some unique items.

In Room 311, there will be special Autograph sessions. On Friday, you can sign up from 1pm to 3pm to get an autograph session with The Pokémon Company CEO, Tsunekazu Ishihara, Junichi Masuda and TCG artists AKIRA EGAWA and Atsushi Furusawa. Masuda and Furusawa are on August 17th and Akira Egawa and Ishihara on August 18th

There will be screenings in the 'Emalani Theater on Room 320 showing various episodes of Pokémon Horizons, as well as Pokémon The First Movie

There will be a collaboration between TPCi and Genki Ala Wai Project to bring Genki Ball, a mud ball, to Worlds showing how to create Genki Balls. On Saturday evening, there is also a special Ball Toss activity

At the Hilton Hawaiian Village there will be a Worlds Trainer Town across the Village Green and the Great Lawn each day
At the Village Green, there will meet-and-greets, Hula Lessons, Lei Making, Origami and Photo Ops
At the Great Lawn, there will be meet-and-greets, drawing lessons, face painting, lawn games and surfboard decoration

As with all years, a pop-up Pokémon Center was open during the event. This Pokémon Center includes a lot of Pokémon Center merchandise but includes its own merchandise line themed around the motif involving Pokémon underwater
