Helper Pokémon

Throughout the story, in addition to playing as Tim, there are times when you play as Pikachu but often times, Pikachu is not alone and will be getting the help of a variety of Pokémon. Using the Pokémon, you can help get past a variety of obstacles

Each Pokémon can be found in each respective chapter.

As you progress through the mystery of the stolen Aurora Drop, Sanjeev Denis' Growlithe will offer its assistance in order to help find the culprit. With Pikachu, it can leave the premises and interact with various Pokémon but Growlithe's special ability allows for you to follow the scents of various Pokémon and other elements in order to find the culprit.

While in the Southern Ruins, a Galarian Darmanitan is rampagin. After using a Slowpoke Tail to calm it down, it tells you how it and its friends were brought to the ruins against their will. Agreeing to help it find its friends, it offers Pikachu help. Using its strength, it can break down boulders, ice formations and mysterious pylons with ease.

When falsely imprisoned, Pikachu meets a Luxray who has also been imprisoned falsely. While Luxray was the leader of the group of Pokémon in the prison, it chooses to help Pikachu and offers the unique ability of being able to see behind walls in order to know when rooms are clear enough for Pikachu to enter.

One of the Pokémon Pikachu was in prison with, Pikachu meets Pangoro again in the Bamboo Forest. After hearing a crash, Pangoro offers its help to Pikachu and Tim and has the ability to push boulders out of the way. This can push any boulder one space forwards as long as there are no obstacles in its path
